They CAN wake up but only the ones with an ounce of personal integrity.

1996 lol

Republicans would make an ad out of this clip, and the cli pf Barbara Jordan talking about how illegal immigration hurts poor blacks the most. I disliked Bill Clinton immensely but back then even Democrats care a little about this country.

Today's Democrats are far left lunatics with no real convictions and no real concern for America.

This is a legit point he makes.

I think ending the filibuster would be an enormous mistake, whoever ends it. It will create chaos with laws coming and going every time the senate majority changes. I understand the feeling that we should change it now, but it won't matter if we do or don't. Whatever Republicans pass now, Democrats will use a simple majority to eliminate when they are in control.

Maybe it seems like the right thing to do now, but that will change if Democrats win the senate. The problem we have in this country is the left controls the schools, media, and courthouses. This was all by design and it took many years to get it done. Republicans have to start thinking long term like that. We need to end the indoctrination of children, balance the media somehow, and start packing the courts with honest judges. To do this we need to play smart and win elections.

Speaking reality.

I actually took the time to research this free bus thing. I found out, and this is actually remarkable, that 40-45% of the NYC annual budget or $3.8 billion goes to running the bus system in NYC. 70% to 80% is recovered through fares. That means to offer free buses it would cost the city an addition $2.67 billion to $3.0 billion.

Where does this ass hat think he can come up with that kind of money to fund a free bus system? There were 85,000 millionaires living in NYC in 2023. Each of them would have to pony up another $35,000 per year to fund the free buses. And, btw, the number of millionaires has been decreasing because they are moving out of the city.

One other note, over 51% of NYC tax filers are single. Only 30% are married filing joint returns. NYC is full of very mobile people. Being single makes it easy to pack up and leave.

Because as you see, x truncates long replies. What I posted is a screenshot from Facebook that didn't include whom hecwas replying to. It can stand alone as a blanket statement, no?
yes but it would be helpful if you would (please) provide links as well so we can read the entire context and make sure its not one of the myriad of outright lies floating around the internet. I don't like passing along anything I'm not damn sure is accurate and Musks quote is great, something I relate to as I'm a "maker" who is constantly confounded by do-nothing naysayers who've never built jack squat!

Also for some reason your video posts are hard to watch on my end because they come in so large I have to shrink my screen to the widest possible view on my computer so I can see them

What do you post from (iPhone, computer, other)?

The Dems will nuke the filibuster after 2028. And they will win in 2028 (and the mid-terms). They won't make the same mistake twice and there are no Dem senators who will oppose nuking it this time around. I don't want to nuke it either....but the Dems have gone so radical left that there is no compromising or negotiating with them. We are just on polar opposites and they hate the country, it's founders and it's history.

The filibuster must be nuked and election integrity measures must be passed immediately or the Republic will not survive. The situation is that dire but folks like you cling to a sense of righteousness.....and I completely understand and agree with your premise. But these are dangerous times and if 2020 taught us anything, it should show us the length that these ideologues will go to gain power and maintain it, even if it means the destruction of the fabric of the nation. Then they'll go after 2A and start chipping away at other rights such as free speech.

But Republicans will not nuke it so the point is moot. They're cowards and don't see what's happening or they're part of the corruption. Even Fetterman is on board with nuking it and when Fetterman makes more sense than Republicans, we're toast.

Yeah but Democrats only win when they are allowed to cheat in elections.

There's a slew of things that need to be done (including getting Government out of education) but nothing matters if they don't pass massive election reform. Same day voting and counting, no mail in votes and ID laws to vote EVERYWHERE should be implemented.

JD Vance's point above is 100% legit, the only reason there is a filibuster today is because of two old school moderate Democrats, who were then eviscerated by the left for holding out. The left 100% controls the Democrat party now, if Republicans dont end it then the Democrats will, and a conversion to Communism will be assured. You'll also get statehood for Puerto Rico and DC, which means 4 more Senators for the left, in addition to a certain massive restructure of the SCOTUS where they will add several new slots and appoint hardcore liberals onto it.
