There are a lot of unhappy people here in NJ. It is just too expensive now. I have considered moving multiple times but I have family in the area and my wife still works in NJ. We love our house and neighborhood but I could save a ton of money moving somewhere else on income and property taxes alone.

My immediate area is still Trump country but I can see the conservative or normal population shrinking as old folks die or move into retirement communities in other states.

Our high school was forced to change their mascot from Cowboys to Broncos a few years ago because cranky liberal Karens were claiming Cowboys wasn't inclusive. The debates over that were pretty intense. They had experts on Cowboys testify that many Cowboys were black and Hispanic. But Cowboy identified a gender so it had to go! The sister school mascot name was Indians so of course that had to go too. I have no idea what they call themselves now but it could be pansies for all I know.

Notice the trick word play? They are not giving illegals insurance, although 65 year old illegals are eligible for medicare as of last year. Instead, they set up programs for uninsured illegals to go into hospitals and other emergency care facilities, get treated and pay nothing. The care providers them bill Medicare or Medicaid for the costs. So technically they are not getting insurance, but they are insured by the American people at no cost to themselves. This is actually better than medicare which carries a premium for recipients.
