Saw a video of a bunch of college hooligans who barricaded themselves in a campus building. The cops were trying to pull them out and the spoiled brats responded by hitting the cops over the head with large plastic water bottles and sticks. It looked a lot like what happened on J6. But I will guarantee, there will be no William Byrds drawing their guns on the college brats, and there will be no manhunts and criminal prosecutions.

yes, because Republicans do not hold together as 1 voting block. Democrats do.
There is a uniparty. Other than a few good ones most of it is political theater designed to push the left agenda while some pretend to oppose it.

I think the Republican party is just divided in 2 right now. We have the Trump MAGA faction and the never-Trump faction that works with Democrats to undermine Trump any way they can. The never-Trump faction is also divided into the openly Trump hating Lincoln Project types, these are the Jeb Bush worshippers, and the more sinister silent assassins who pretend not to have an issue with Trump, but work quietly in the dark to undermine him. Both of these groups work with Democrats to defeat Trump or to rile his followers because they think this is the best way to get rid of him once and for all.

We've weeded out quite a few of the openly Trump hating Republicans. Jeff Flake, Jeb Bush, Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger and a few others have already been marginalized. If not for Alaska's silly and unDemocratic ranked choice voting we would have gotten rid of Lisa Murkowski too. Rooting out the obvious Trump haters is the reason so many Republicans now fall into the silent assassins group.

I do not mean this to sound like a dig at Trump, but once he is gone I believe the Republican party will unify behind a more Republican platform again. Again, this is not Trump's fault. It is a by-product of TDS which afflicts some Republicans as well as Democrats.

Yeah but if that candidate is the typical fake Republican Rino that caves to everything Dems demand, we get nothing but more garbage.

We dont need Rinos anymore at all. Rinos = Swamp Turds. They all have to be gotten rid of.

I am hoping it is DeSantis in 2028 and I am hoping DeSantis does not soften to appeal more to the rest of the country. DeSantis is a strong conservative and he acts like it. Look at what he has been doing in Florida. He has been pummeling the leftists. Noone is perfect, and Republicans have to stop acting like purists. The goal is to win elections. Then we need strong ruthless leaders in congress to make sure all Republicans tow the line on votes.

I was also going to respond with Creeper. I'm not sure what he means by a "more Republican candidate." We don't need the RINO's like Paul Ryan, Mike Johnson, Romney, McConnell, and the rest. They need to be gutted from the party. They no longer support my conservative values as we just witnessed witht he recent funding bill.

America First is beyond Trump. He may be the leader of the party but no other candidate will be able to rally the base and we may never see another 71 million votes for anyone else if we go back to business as usual with these fools.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. DeSantis has gone back to Florida and continued to do a good job by all accounts. But he's toast as a presidential candidate and he has no one to blame but himself and his advisors. He could have been the leader of the party and even a serious contender for VP but he chose to go against the MAGA wing of the party. The landscape will change in 2028 and the front runner will be Trump's VP if Trump wins (and that's a big if).

Have you seen the video below? This is is way of "kissing the ring" to try to get back into good graces with MAGA.

That video was prior to his election as governor quite a few years ago. He hasn't done shit to get in MAGA's good graces after the primaries. And I wish he and Trump would get back on good terms. The country needs it.

I saw it somewhere else and they presented it like it was new. Thanks for the truth about it.
