Twitter CEO Elon Musk sharply condemned members of the House Jan. 6 Committee after Fox News host Tucker Carlson released never-seen-before footage from the riot.

I watched this and I was outraged. Not at the lying Democrats on the House Jan 6 Committee. That was a kangaroo court the minute Pelosi kicked all the Republicans off the committee and only allowed Kinzinger and Cheney to join. The fact that anyone gave that committee any credence just shows how corrupt and biased the media is too.
I was mildly outraged at Republicans who agreed with Democrats that it was an insurrection. Only mildly though because they too are big self-serving liars. I expect the people in congress to lie through their teeth.
My anger and outrage was reserved for those in the courts, including jurors, who punished the Jan 6 protesters way beyond reasonable punishment. The treatment of the Jan 6 protesters has been "cruel and unusual", a complete violation of the 8th amendment. No bail, slow trials, and incarceration for many months before a trial, including solitary confinement and deprivation of medical treatments, for basically misdemeanor offenses. This is the outrage. Judges meted out these punishments ignoring the human rights of the accused. Juries, mostly in Washington DC couldn't wait to throw the book at the Trump supporters. There were no fair trials. I am outraged at those who have chosen not to stand for the constitutional right of citizens. The juries in DC are made up of the same people who are giving non-citizens the right to vote!
Imagine how the founding fathers would feel about sending SWAT teams to the homes of protesters? The constitution was written to prevent the government from doing exactly what it is doing - following the footsteps of the British who used force to obtain compliance with the whims of the King.
We talk about the 2nd Amendment quite a bit, but the 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th and 10th are also under attack. And have been for some time. The government has grown too powerful and too willing to wield that power against the people. The people, many of them, seem all too willing to allow it.
