Is she the best we can do in Maine? What possible reason can she have to block defending PBS and NPR? Maybe there was a time when these networks were necessary because there was so little media, but today we have too much news and too much media. Why should taxpayer fund any of it? Let them compete in the private sector like every one else and the market will determine if they survive or not.
We need a constitutional amendment that prohibits the government from contributing any public funds to any private organizations. Why should PBS get money but not OANN? Why Planned Parenthood, but not the NRA?
The government should not be playing favorites with taxpayer money.

and on almost every occasion I happen to look at PBS programming, its 2 hour infomercials raising more money
in the day and age of Youtube, et al, its absurd the kind of funding PBS receives and then they still have to raise money
defund it and let them scatter, sink or swim on their own
