Jack that tag-and-trade value up.
I'm gonna toot the shit out of my own horn here for a second. I've been calling for the tag-and-trade for a while and it's picking up steam over at the mothership. I hope it goes down (likely won't, not sure this front office can part ways with him for one and be smart enough to successfully pull the deal off if they were willing to part with him) so I can remind everyone just who said it first and acquire a mass following that I will then lead to this board. You guys will worship me as well when I double the user count to an all time high of 14 and you'll have no other choice but to make me a moderator.
Oh yeah, I'm sure you've seen the talk of Dallas not scoring more than 10 in the first half of any game......well, until the Steelers game anyway. Guess who's golden nugget that was.........
Fuck, I'm awesome.
Lotta sandy vaginas over the revelation Garrett couldn't score more than twice in a 1st half . Hos made sure to shut that thread down
But what about clearing $30M to actually pull off the trade?
Carr and romos deals save about $18M. Connor could be $3M or so.
God if we can get a top 60 pick that'd be sweet.
We're more likely to re-sign him than anything. Given our track record.
Given Jerry's need to look like he can draft, even though everyone knows he really can't, he'll resign Spencer and we'll end up eating the deal when he doesn't pan out.
Yep, even though just last year he drafted a SDE fairly high. Stupid to even draft players if you aren't going to utilize the next man up philosophy.
Jerry only subscribes to that theory by collecting very little depth and then watching his starters get injured with no contingency plan.
You know, we kind of had some depth for the 4-3 in both Brandon WIlliams and Jason Williams, but they were just in the wrong system (3-4). Now watch us draft players that are more suited for the 3-4, now that we've switched to the 4-3.
I'm wondering if Ratliff comes back or if he's done.
Anyway, I was never a big 3-4 fan. You need so many linebackers and they're a lot harder to find and more expensive than lineman. We didn't run it right either. Ratliff was too small and the ends never got any pressure. We got run on pretty bad and never got to the quarterback. The whole thing was one big clusterfuck.
Word was that Ratliff has been working out everyday at VR since the season ended. If we were still running the 3-4, I would rather saee Ratliff gone, but now I would like tos ee how well he does in the 4-3, at least for one year. He should do much better in the 4-3. Fact is, I'd rather keep Ratliff than Spencer.
Sounds like Ratliff is coming back. I can see our line being Crawford, Lissemore, Ratliff, and Ware with Carter, Lee, and ___ playing linebacker. I don't think Spencer comes back, at least, I hope he doesn't.
