As mediocre as this defense is, you can hardly blame them for stretching this out as long as possible this year.

Even if he returned at 80% of the player he was at Notre Dame, it'd be a significant upgrade for the defense.

I doubt he plays this year, but waiting 3 more weeks to make sure he doesn't recover enough to get on the field isn't hurting the team in any way.

true, I just have so much mistrust in jeri's judgement/motivation on shit like this, I don't have any faith he'll see the field this year.

Plus, even if jeri knows there's no shot, it adds another element of bullshit for people to talk about which could easily be the motivation for obfuscating the truth here and dragging this story out

I wouldn't risk it; our LBs really aren't the problem.

Can't really imagine Jaylon making much of an impact at even 100%; much less the 80% dbair is espousing. Up until this point he's just been rehabbing his leg. No way he'll be in much shape to contribute this year.
