Dirty as fuck with my eye ball test, but every Seahawks fan on Twitter is defending it as a legal clean hit. No fucking way Lee's neck and head snaps like that if he didn't hit him in the head with his helmet.

We are gonna get stompt next week again with no one left on our D after that one fucking series.

Drilled him center chest with the shoulder.

Heads are attached to shoulders for most people, having after the fact contact between helmets shouldn't draw a penalty. So long as the initial contact point isn't the head, I don't know what people expect.

The league is trying to clean up head injuries, that was most certainly a dangerous hit to the head.

At some point in time this will be applicable to any hit on a QB.

I can't even recall a single time a WR was flagged for laying out a defender like that.

Burress sure wasn't last year.

I guess it's not legal now, but I've seen a lot worse. I don't think he was trying to hit him in the head, he was just trying to hit him as hard as he could. Which used to be okay. When I started playing I got lit up just like this while chasing a play (not this bad, but pretty bad) and my grandpa who was a high school coach simply told me later that you have to look for that with your peripheral vision and even vary your route a little so they can't line you up like that. Never was it considered dirty by anyone.

As good as Lee is and as good as his instincts are, I'm surprised he didn't see Tate. Remember that gif from years ago of some WR trying to block Roy Williams as he was chasing a play and Roy just lowered his shoulder and ran right through him? If Lee had seen Tate, he'd have been the one doing the leveling instead of vice-versa.

In the end, I just wish our WRs were the ones making hits like this.

That hit didn't bother me, it was the PF call on Bruce Carter during the same play for "slightly" escorting the QB out of bounds..

I wasnt all that fired up that they didnt flag the Seattle guy for the hit on Lee, but the fact that they then turned around and flagged Carter for that finger tap thing he did at the end of the play really made it lame.

If you watch the play, the flag comes from a guy way the hell out in left field. There's an official trailing the play who's about 7 yards from the hit and he doesn't even reach for his flag.

The flag comes from a guy who, when he throws it is 12 yards further down field.

I'm dying to see the coaches film on it because I want to know where this guy was at when Wilson went OB.

He has to be like 20 yards away. The guy trailing 7 yards behind with a clear unobstructed view didn't see a penalty but this other guy who's not even in the picture until a second or two after the play is over did see a penalty?

Babe broke down the exact reasons of why this was illegal tonight. I am uploading it right now.

apparently the players, officials and coaches are shown a video each year which highlight rule changes and this was a specific point of emphasis......Tate did 3 things wrong and every official missed it...if this isnt a reason for these people to be put out of these jobs i dont know what it is....

Sean Lee could have had his neck broken and they didnt even flag it.
