"Conservative lawyers erupted in thunderous applause and delivered a standing ovation to Justice Samuel Alito on Thursday night for the 5-4 opinion he authored earlier this year overturning a federal constitutional right to abortion that had been recognized for nearly half a century.

Alito was one of four justices who attended a black-tie gala at Union Station in Washington celebrating the 40th Anniversary of the Federalist Society, the right-leaning lawyers’ group that has become instrumental in grooming and vetting candidates to be nominated to the federal judiciary by Republican presidents."

The Supreme Court said it has been unable to determine who leaked Justice Samuel Alito's opinion in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization case last May.

After a probe that involved interviews with more than 100 employees, investigators are "unable to identify a person responsible by a preponderance of the evidence," according to the court.

World's Dumbest Criminals...

Maya Caston, 28, was convicted Friday of second-degree involuntary manslaughter.
Prosecutors argued that Caston's lack of action to get care for the babies showed that she caused the deaths.

And her extensive internet searches for miscarriages and abortion methods before she gave birth demonstrated that she didn't want the babies.

The evidence showed that Caston searched Google for “cheap abortion pills,” “free abortion clinic” and “can you cause a miscarriage if you hit yourself in the stomach hard enough?” After she gave birth, Caston researched if you can bury a baby in a back garden.

The Iowa Legislature on Tuesday night passed legislation that would restrict abortion, after 6 weeks, now sending the bill to Gov. Kim Reynolds after 14 hours of committee meetings and testimony from the public.

Lawmakers kicked off a special session Tuesday morning with the "sole purpose" of passing the legislation.

"I believe the pro-life movement is the most important human rights cause of our time," Gov. Reynolds said in a statement. "Not only will I continue to fight against the inhumanity of abortion, but I will also remain committed to supporting women in planning for motherhood, promoting fatherhood and parenting, and continuing policies that encourage strong families."
