So Roger and Troy should be dismissed when they publicly support Tony, right? Right.

BTW, film study and on-field instruction? Doesn't Dez have coaches for that?

If past players are supporting our current players then I'm all for it. But to publicly come out and speak negatively SCREAMS attention whore.

There's no need for it.

The Giants fan base bashed and practically disowned Tiki Barber when he spoke against the team and Eli.. But we're different.

bbgun, you're on groupie status.. I get it.

Like I said though, instead of being a jackass in the media Pearson could be going that extra mile since he cares so much about the "88s" and offer some insight/coach/run his mouth/whatever the fuck and help Dez. That has nothing to do with the coaches. Not saying it would matter but it would mean more.. Wanna know why Pearson will never do that though? Because there will be no cameras or microphones around.

Noshame, let's not act like Pearson called into Jerry Jones' radio showed and railed against him.

What do you guys want from him? A 'no comment'? Some evasive, bullshit answer?

He did no such thing. He was asked a question and answered it calmly, coolly and honestly. He didn't go out of his way to bash Dez in an unsolicited manner on Twitter or Facebook. Since you didn't like the answer, you throw a hissyfit and play the "age" card. Which is strange, because he didn't say anything remotely controversial or unfair.

He's entitled to his own opinion but literally the only time we hear anything from this pathetic loser anymore (now that Jerry finally let his whining ass in the ROH) is to criticize an 88. That is his role in life, to bitch about someone who wears the same number he used to wear before becoming an irrelevant mouth.

Then you obviously don't listen to his show. And if he's irrelevant, then so is Roger, Manster, Cliff Harris, and all the other golden oldies who are active in the Metroplex media scene. The guy's a ROH member and a borderline HOFer, so when it comes to analyzing the wideout position, I'll take his opinion over yours any day of the week.

yea sp. it seems that way, he likes to bag on dez. He used to bag on owens and williams too.

He is pretty fair to the rest of the team though, its just that no one cares about the cowboys when someone says something factual about them or complimentes them.

His whining about wr is never ending. He used to get on antonio bryant come to think of it. he was one of the big critics of the guy on the postgame before he got traded.

I don't care if Ethel Merman said it, it's correct.

I think Pearson has a personal vendetta against Dez.

I can't remember any other player getting this type of treatment from the guy. I really can't remember him even saying shit about anyone.

And after we've seen Antonio Bryant be a dickhead and OJ Santiago trot out there with #88 on, he's gonna call out Dez for not upholding the precious 8's?

Look, Dez is a fuck up but he doesn't need to hear it from an ex-player who's clearly just looking for every opportunity to shit in his face.

I really wish Jerry would hire Irvin to be this guy's baby sitter.

Eat shit theebs, I just said I couldn't recall a time Pearson rode other players so hard only to see that you named off 3 of them.

Drew Pearson sees Dez Bryant’s flaws and promise
By David Moore / Reporter
9:10 pm on October 6, 2012

Whenever Dez Bryant has a bad game, whenever he fails to live up to the legacy of the No. 88, there will be those who run to one of the Cowboys who wore that jersey before him to comment.

Drew Pearson is not shy. He has been outspoken through the years about Bryant’s development, or lack of it. Reporters periodically beat a path to his cell phone.

Yes, Pearson will tell you that Bryant should be more consistent at this stage of his career. He believes Bryant must adjust during games and show more recognition of what defenses do to him.

But what you don’t hear, what often gets left out of those sound bites or articles, is that Pearson has faith Bryant will grow into that elite player. He has gotten to know the young receiver in recent months and finds him to be a good person who is determined to live up to the jersey number he wears.

“I feel confident that it will happen for him,” Pearson said. “I hope it happens here.

“Dez understands the situation he’s in and really wants it. Maybe it will all come to him at one time.

“Maybe he’s just a late bloomer.”
