You think so?

I think the 3T and the WILL are the two most important positions in the Tampa 2. I also think you have to have fast safeties as well but I know that you said front 7.

I'm with this. Everything I've ever read or known about the Tampa 2 the 3 tech was the most important. Then LBers (weak, middle), pass rushing end, then I think it's debatable between corner or safety. Although it seems like safety has a little more pressure in the scheme. Corners just need to be able to help in run support more.

If J. Collins slips, it could be another CB from LSU.

... which still would be more popular than picking a Tight End in the first round. Gil Brandt lists TE as one of the top three needs for the Cowboys coming into this draft. Gil has a touch of the Alzheimer's.

It all but guarantees were taking a cornerback at 27.

Maybe, but that wouldn't be all that bad depending on who they took. We definitely need infusion of talent there.

That said, RB or DT would definitely still be in play. Even a LB might not be totally out of the question, especially if they don't re-sign McClain.

I think there's another downside.

Watching people lie through their teeth about the guy is going to be a real stupid ongoing conversation.

Watching people act like Hardy's suspension is only because he's a Cowboy is going to be another downside.

Marinelli had his greatest success with a 1-tech such as Booger McFarland in Tampa though. The 1 is pretty important in the Tampa 2. But I don't think Marinelli runs a true Tampa 2 to begin with anyways. I think he likes having 4 upfield guys.
