Absolutely not.

I was just talking to a co-worker about this. I've always said no current NFL coach costs his team points like Jason Garrett does but it appears that Mike Smith is gaining on him.

We may be competeting with Atlanta for a high profile coach who wants to come in and take a good team to the next level. They don't have GM Jerry, so advantage them.

They're not going to fire him. He's a damned good coach.

He's easily... EASILY a far superior coach than is Garrett. He'd be the best coach we've had since Jimmy. Mike Smith is good.

What happened to Julio?

Do not agree. He has made some CRUCIAL poor decisions in games. He's better than Garrett for sure but that's not saying a lot. Coaches should not cost you games at the NFL level.

I mean, c'mon... every coach sometimes costs teams games.

Remember Belichick going for it on like 4th and 2 deep in their own territory and they didnt convert and the Colts easily scored?

It happens to the best of them.

Mike Smith took over a floundering Falcons team and has them playing sound, fundamental, intelligent football. Their talent is lacking. You could argue part of that is a result from the Julio trade. But Mike Smith is a damned good coach.

Smith is terrible. He's always confused in close games. There's a reason his teams always blow it in the playoffs. He's a modern time Marty Schottenheimer.

It's unfortunate that ATL is getting rocked with so many injuries, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking they were ever going to beat Seattle, NO or SF anyway. They should tank for a good draft pick and come back strong next season.

So NY is 0-5 and looking like they'll get a pretty high pick. They really aren't that bad, but OL injuries really caught up with them.

I could see them landing a guy like Lewan or Matthews in 1 and high end secondary player or LB in 2. They could reload pretty quickly. Same for Atlanta.

Mike Smith going for it on 4th down at the end of the first half yesterday when down 10 was retarded. And he ran it on the Jets DL who was playing lights out.

No kidding. I had to look back at the screen a couple times to make sure I was seeing the clock and the quarter right when they lined up there. What a dumb call, especially when like you said the Jets DL was so hard to move.

Well, everyone does that at some point. My highschool coach went for it on 4th and 13 on our 2 yard line in the 2nd quarter. We didn't get it, but still. I'm sure Belichick's done that before.

Then Mike Burke busted through the line, letting out a primordial roar. Hence how he got his Internet username.

I'm just glad Tony Gonzalez came back for a very KC like ending to his career.

Examples?

I was gonna say that too. Perfect example why he's not that great of a coach. Too much talent on that offense to be where they are record wise.
