They're not going to fire him. He's a damned good coach.

He's easily... EASILY a far superior coach than is Garrett. He'd be the best coach we've had since Jimmy. Mike Smith is good.

They do usually appear to be disciplined, but the thing that bothers me about Smith is that defense is his background and they look awful on defense. No pass rush whatsoever and they are playing soft on that side of the football. He also takes some dumb risks (like the Jets game and the N.O. a couple years ago) that make you wonder sometimes.
