There is a simple way to tell if she is telling the truth or making this al up. Just go get all the ballots and inspect them and recount them. If the same ballots were scanned multiple times it will show up in the recount.

This is why I keep saying paper ballots must be eliminated completely. We need a system where the voter inputs his vote and it is tabulated electronically immediately. There was no middle men.

Such a system can be built and must be built. In fact, I would go so far as to argue that the system should eliminate absentee ballots as well since people should be able to vote on electronic devices.

What would it take? It would take an id that stores a encryption key. The ID would be provided by the government after voters provide proof of identity and citizenship.

My system will give the results of an election as soon as the "polls" close.

Some people don't trust computers and worry they could be hacked, but we move money all around the world by the trillions every day on computers. It can be done if we are willing to do what it takes to get it done.

I hear you, but when one side will stop at nothing to get into a retain power there's probably no truly foolproof system.

They need to make wholesale changes to the way we do this but going solely electronic does open it up for major security concerns. Somebody will figure out how to hack it, it's a guarantee.

The best things they can do is eliminate mail in ballots (with exceptions for military and ex-pats), guarantee SAME DAY counting and results and voter ID 100% across the board. All national elections should operate under the exact same rules.
