Sad....way too young. Not hearing any speculation but it would have to be a suicide maybe? Not proper of me to speculate but it wasn't a car accident or some type of accident or they would have reported it. But just guessing.

Absolutely terrible news. Way too young to be gone.

RIP to this young man, thoughts and prayers out to his family and friends.

This is so sad. This young man was in the prime of his life. He must have been in a really dark place. There is help for those who may be suffering mentally. I know this personally. I pray for his family, friends, coaches and teammates! This is absolutely horrible news and a reminder of what is truly important. Anyone who is suffering please know there are resources that can help with a temporary situation.

I'm catching 105.3 on YT. I guess he suffered from depression. He shot himself.

Very sad.

Others who are around my age (61), do you recall so many young people in the 80s being so depressed that they took their own lives?

There is something happening in our society. Social media, movies, education, something is off.

I think Dak actually has a foundation and the Cowboys pay particular attention to this sort of thing.

No it didn't exist. And we (legally at the time) carried pistols under the seat and rifles and shotguns in the backlite gun rack of our pickup trucks and yes parked at school that way. Never any shootings, never even any thefts of same. Any suicides we heard of were rare and drug related.

Maybe: I think it is all of it (covid included) although this trend started happening before covid.
I agree I was just adding to your list. And there's more. Like they said about the Dismal Tide in No Country for Old Men... "It ain't the one thing "
