How do dogs have such a powerful sense of smell yet still love to eat cat shit?

I've never seen a dog do that.

Years ago when I had 2 roommates, one of whom had a cat and the other a Weimaraner and every damn day when we'd get home from work, the litter box would be strewn across the house because that dog would raid the cats shit box and chow down

fortunately for you this was pre-mobile phone so no video
