So...this is a thing. They're trying to take donations to put up a billboard. I'm tempted to donate.

Waste of time and money. Blaming a figurehead instead of the one who hired him, groomed him and throwing your money at prompting a change to another coach who would be just as neutered and spineless.

True booze, I just have a feeling this might be the year we do fall out of relevance. We've been bailed out by staying close to .500 (and the terrible NFCE) the last few years, but that might not happen this year.

Eh, he still has some aces of his sleeve. He can activate Michael Sam and always has the buzz about Josh Brent to fall back on.

As long as Romo is healthy, good or bad play, there is that sideshow attraction every week. That is why Jones values him so much.

Now if Romo gets hurt, then he might get all concerned, just like he did with Phillips.

True. I'd definitely donate to a killyourselfjerry.com website though.

Now that those pictures came out, Jason really doesn't have leverage anymore.

How so?

His leverage has always been that he's a puppet and company man without a backbone. That hasn't changed.

If he had any true talent as coach, he would have booked it for greener pastures long ago.

Yep, it ain't gonna matter who's in the hot seat with JJ at the helm, it'll be rinse and repeat after 3-4 years, thats why I've always said just let Garrett coach until JJ is 6 feet under, maybe given enough time they'll get lucky or something.

The teams fucked in perpetuity, they're now the Cleveland Browns with nothing but rapidly fading championships that few even remember

Plus, Jerruh is really really sore over not getting to draft Manziel. All except his son who talked him out of it are likely on the chopping block when this whole deal goes South finally.

I think you are onto something there. Jerry's bitterness over being blocked may lead to him becoming a little more active in his impulses.

I hope he completely cleans house, honestly. The culture needs changed, not just a head coach and a assistant here and there.

I've actually been looking into Romo's deal a bit. Cutting him this offseason is a ton of dead money, but it is only like $10 million more than having him on the roster.

It actually gets fairly reasonable to cut him after next year.

In theory, if you really wanted to and got cap creative, I think you could cut Romo in the offseason and bring Dez back. You probably wouldn't do much else though.

Then you'd be pretty healthy heading in the the next year. So, if they fall apart and pick a QB high next year.....I think it could work out OK.

It would certainly limit us in FA, not that I think we're one or two players away anyhow but if we can bring in a couple of D linemen and draft one or two more we can have a serviceable DL. I think the bigger issue is signing Dez to an extension and not having a QB that can throw to him. It would be a waste and I have no doubt he'd mentally check out.

Might even be what the hitch was, why they couldn't come to a deal in preseason.

Dez is a beast but too inconsistent and can disappear in games. No reason to not wait until the end of the season and see where he stands statistically before making a decision.

Having said that, I have no doubt Jerry re-signs Dez but I wouldn't mind trading him for draft picks since we'll be in a true rebuilding mode after this season.
