How mediocre will Jason Garrett be next year?

I'm taking a leap of faith that we are seeing a resurgence in this team of the same principals that Landry and Johnson and to a lesser extent Parcells brought to the team. Garret made some big fubars last year. But I seem to remember the Packers coach making quite a few his first couple years.

If he ices his own kicker again we need to fire him on the spot...

Having said that and as of right now I see him getting us to 9-7.

How long before Jerry has headset on this year?

THIRD qtr in ny if were losing I imagine.

It's okay though, owner, president, general managers can do what they want.

I can see it now, Jerry with the headset telling romo about the time they cut up his credit card.

It's a process though, Garrett will figure out a way to get Jerry back in the boothe at some point.

I agree if Garrett messes up again this year he should be fired, but in the process Jerry needs to own up and fire himself.

Will any of this happen? Part of it might. I like the direction the team is going with these last 2 drafts though, so I'm optimistic.

And just so you all know, I'm still against Jerry being the GM. Always will no matter what happens.

I agree about the drafts. I really like the players we're bringing in. It's a lot better watching guys like them than guys like Antonio Bryant, Tank Johnson, Pacman Jones, and TO. We still have one left, Dez, but maybe he'll change. I doubt it, but maybe.

I like what we're doing, we just have to elimiate all the mistakes on game day. The icing the kicker was ridiculous.

I have faith in Garrett. I think he corrects his mistakes. He's too intelligent not to.

And lets be realistic... he has limited coaching experience. That isn't his fault. If you want to hate on someone, bash Jerry for hiring him as a head coach when he probably wasn't quite ready.

He's had a year and a half of OJT... so I expect to see a much improved Jason Garrett, and in turn a much improved football team.

I've got us as 11-5, division winners, and a serious threat in the playoffs.

Yep I agree with that. He has to grow into the role of head coach. He can not have a season again this year alike last year.

The hope we all have to have is he improves and being surrounded by his handpicked coaches pays dividends in year 2.

I still think he lacks charisma or something that some other coaches have but that shouldn't stop us if we are good enough.

For all the things that have been sketchy since he took over I do happen to love the way he talks to the media. Shitty writers like hill, Taylor, watkins and the engle's really don't have to have their stupid questions justified.

I dont think Garrett will hold the team back if thats the question. I'm more worried about the offensive line and defensive line than I am the coach.

All we can hope for is we adressed it some in free agency and the draft. I like the Crawford and Wilbur picks.

As far as Livings and Bernadette it's an upgrade over what we had last year at best. What scares me is Costa having a shot to start at center.

What does Dez need to change?

Not hang out with guys who sag there pants or pay all of his bills on time?

What else does he need to change to be a better receiver than a guy who had over 900 yards and 9 td's?

Some very smart people are not great at making immediate, on-the-spot decisions. Game day coaches must make immediate, on-the-spot decisions. Just because Garrett is very smart does not mean that he'll make a great game day coach.

I hope he improves, because if he doesn't, he won't be good enough.

I like many aspects of Garrett, such as his influence on player acquisition (especially the draft). Garrett has engineered a better than average passing offense. Garrett has won over Jerry and seems to have been a positive influence on Jerry (Jerry's decision making seems less reckless and impulsive than before).

I like his roster moves more than his in-game strategies.(which isn't saying alot)

Hes been apart of a great draft last year; he was onto Tyron early. We've cut a lot of overpaid tubs of shit. I just want him to be as concerned with the OL as romo is
