What do you think about this Scott? Will it get passed?

I have posted about this before. Some states have already eliminated the Castle Doctrine, not by passing laws but by changing the authority of prosecutors and courts to prosecute people for defending their property. In NJ, you will already be prosecuted for defending your property with a gun. If your home is invaded and your shoot the invaders you will have to go to court to prove your life was threatened, even though the Castle Doctrine exists in NJ. You have an obligation to retreat first and only if you can show a definitive threat to life or limb can you use lethal force.

If you think this is unusual, or not true, consider the two people in Missouri who brandished unloaded weapons when a BLM march passed through their private gated community. The couple, Mark and Patricia McCloskey, simply appeared on their front porch waving unloaded weapons as a warning to protesters not to do harm to their home or property. The McCloskeys were indicted on felony charges by a grand jury, but prosecutors reduced the charges to misdemeanors. The couple agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor charges. I don't know if felony charges would have stood on appeal. The Castle Doctrine means nothing anymore in many states.

My state is the lowest, but I am one of the few in NJ that does own guns. Unfortunately our modern rifles are neutered to a certain degree because we can't have flash suppressors, adjustable stocks, or magazines larger than 10 round capacity. But they can look mean, and fire the same rounds as those evil assault rifles liberals complain about.

I finally got my CCW after 2 years in the process. I have had my open carry for over a decade.

I qualified with my S&W Shield that I bought specifically for my CCW. But after shooting it the first time at my qualifying shoot I have determined that it’s not very user friendly for a left handed shooter.

Do any of you have/carry the Springfield Armory Hellcat?

I checked one out at the local gun shop and strangely enough I really like the sights. Plus it will allow me to carry 10+1 instead of 8+1 like my shield.
