Does the desperate trade for McClain mean Hutchins is garbage?

Randle is garbage (he can't run). Wilcox is a special teams lifer (a safety who is too stupid to be allowed to make decisions). Streets is about as novel to the team as Linehan (slower and thinner than every other WR on the Dallas roster but somehow supposed to beat the press and get separation?)Tee Willy is Todd Pinkston redux with a shorter shelf life (a tall WR who body catches and does not high point). Kyle Wilber is a bunch of wasted space and coaching (keeps getting position help but really can't rush or tackle or cover).
But Hitchins is methodical player who does what all other listed players do not do: he plays his position well using his one fundamental skill (tackling).

Man, that title confused me. I get that you mean Hitchens now. I don't think it means he sucks, I think McClain is insurance at best. At least I hope that is all they are hoping to get out of him. To expect more is lunacy.

There's a lot of hate in this post.

You're pretty hard on some of our guys.

Terrance Williams and Kyle Wilbur are decent players.

I don't think you want dbair "tailing" you.

Just does not sound all that wise.

Good point.

Well that was a touch over the top.

Anywho... Another bust of a top 10 lb - Aaron Curry - is bff's with McClain and they played together at Oakland.

Sign him too. Fuck it.

I don't know if you could call it desperate. We didn't trade shit for him really.

If anything it looks like we're just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks.

Plus his salary is really low, something like 700K.

He could well be garbage as fourth round reach, but I doubt they know that yet unless he really looked that horrible in minicamps.

I think more likely McClain is just the 2014 version of Quentin Coryatt/Kevin Hardy.

It's a no lose situation with McClain, our DC made gravy from Home Depot day workers last year. Let's see what he can do with a former 1st round pick that lost his way?

Transitioning from 3/4 to 4/3 got into a lot of their heads I have a feeling. B. Carter, you could tell, he was just thinking and not reacting out there. But I'd rather trade a 6 round pick for this guy and a 7th paying vet min with the agreement that if he doesn't make the 53 we get our pick back and they get theirs back. Then try nothing.

Hitchens was/is/will be a reach. Homers want to give Jerry the benefit of the doubt because, well,it justifies their whole belief system. That one pick sullied an overall solid draft.

He's a try hard guy who's lack of talent will get exposed at the next level.

(bookmarks this post to delete if Hitchens actually plays well)
