"Q: What's the latest in a season that you've ever made significant changes to your defensive approach?
BB: Every week. "

I'm not sure you get this with a JG run team.

Q: Do injuries on offense force you to change your offensive philosophy?

BB: We really, every week we talk about what we're going to try to do, how we match up with the team we're playing and so forth. Those conversations take place every week. We just don't go out and run the same plays 16 weeks in a row even if none of our players’ change. You've seen us play enough to know that we don't really do that. How we play this week is going to be different than how we played last week for a number of reasons. We have the same conversation every week."

Here is the problem with Jason Garrett’s coaching philosophy

He is a true believer of just go out there and beat the man in front of you

He believes that as long as we do that as a team that we will win the game

The problem with that idea is that when it doesn’t happen for whatever reason he simply has no answer for it, no adjustment to make to overcome a bad mismatch, or no need to scheme to put your players in the best position to win their one on one matchups

So when his players can’t simply “beat the man in front of him” his total game plan fails

No.

The philosophy is Hope.

HOPE we can beat the man in front of us.
HOPE our risk-averse game planning works.
HOPE for luck in getting turnovers.
HOPE nothing bad happens, like fumbles or picks.
HOPE things go well.
HOPE we don't get anybody hurt.
HOPE any adjustment we make works somehow.

The whole fucking plan is faith-based. Faith in hope.

I wonder which philosophy requires more effort from the Head coach.
1. Beat the man in front of you
2. We don't run same 16 plays every week
I'm leaning towards number 2.

Actually, here's the real difference. Once his guys come off the field, Belichick gives them water IF they achieved their goals while they were out there. Garrett gives them juice boxes after every possession.

No, the real difference is Garrett sux as a HC and Belichick is very arguably the best of all time.

If Belichick is a 10 on the 1-10 scale, there probably isn't a number low enough to describe where Garrett is in comparison.
