2026 Week Three: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys

So here we are again. Week 1, badly played loss. Week 2, could have easily been a loss but the other team played worse. Sound familiar? Week 3 in this scenario is usually a wild card, and this one is no exception.
On paper, the Ravens are an easy pick. Lamar's Lamar. The last time Dallas played him Derrick Henry slaughtered a defense that was better than the product currently on the field. Their defense is markedly better than the Giants or Washington.
The only thing stopping me from predicting a double digit Ravens win is that they lost to the Saints, who are for the most part a lesser offense than Dallas. This makes me question whether Dak will keep it interesting, especially if he and CeeDee Lamb can connect like they did on Sunday.
Ultimately, I think this game is going to fall under another category we know all too well, "The Big Tease". 3 1/2 quarters of close, tight football, and one play knocks it off the rails. Bad sack, bad interception, take your guess. The opening line was Ravens by three, I can get behind that. Ravens 30 Cowboys 27

Derrick Henry slaughtered a defense that was better than the product currently on the field.

This is why they lost to the Aints -- stopped giving Henry the ball. Only 5 touches entire second half.

Maveric you are generous with your point spread . I personally think Lamar and Henry are going to have their way with us. They will score on every possession . No way Dak and offense can even get close against Ravens defense. Ravens win by at least two scores and maybe three. The off season optimism was fun while it lasted but now we are into reality and early returns don’t look good . Don’t get me wrong…. I want to be wrong but thirty years of this crap has worn thin.

It might be an ugly loss.

Not sure why you fear the Ravens defense though, they are not that good and they were awful last yr. Ravens offense also struggled with a pretty middling Saints defense as fyi.

That said, I do suspect they can run up some ugly numbers against our defense. They did have their way with the Colts defense, who actually might be the only defense worse than ours right now.

I really have no idea what to expect. If it's a close game or by some miracle we win it's probably because it ends up a 35-31 type game.

I don’t understand why we haven’t been able to stop the run for a decade+

It has not mattered what personnel we have, what defensive coordinator we have, what players we have, what scheme we run, who the HC is, who the assistants are. Nothing matters. Everything has changed multiple times over and we just have not been able to stop the run.
