Cowboys flipped two picks at the end of the 5th rd to swap 12 for 11 with Fish.

Somebody may have been trying to trade ahead of us to get Downs. Somebody we know (cough cough, 3 Super Bowls) works for the Fish organization. Maybe he helped us out here.

The difference between 11 and 12 was 50 points.

Dallas just moved up giving up 39 points, two comp picks.

I just had the chance to catch up. I am shocked in the happiest of ways that they took Downs. Dallas hasn't put this type of commitment into a safety in years. Says a lot about Downs, and hopefully about a serious effort into turning around the defense.

A couple of other early observations:
Giants did well with their two picks.
Tyson to the Saints was on quite a few mocks. Good pick, especially given Olave's questionable health history.
Simpson at 13 is a reach.

Excellent talent level. Connection to our coaching staff (our asst DL coach was on Central Florida staff). Great fit as a true Edge type player.
