Zoners are pissing their panties over this hire but since he won that Super Bowl in 2012 he's had one conference championship game appearance and 6 non-playoff seasons.

They have had arguably the best front office in football for most of this century and have had a fairly loaded roster for some time.

He's overrated at this point.

I think you're underrating him. He's a good coach and it's no coincidence that he hasn't won a SB with Lamar Jackson who has sucked ass in the playoffs. He'll make the Giants a contender and will bring an attitude to that team that I wish we had. I'd take him for the Cowboys in heartbeat but we'll have to wait until Jerry needs a real HC to sell to the masses when he needs to build another new stadium. And yes, Jerry will live that long.

Harbaugh has compiled a regular-season head coaching record of 180-113 (.614), the 14th most victories in NFL history. He is also 13-11 in the postseason, including SB XLVII championship, and holds the NFL postseason record for road victories (8). Harbaugh is the only head coach in the NFL since the 1970 merger to win a playoff game in each of his first five seasons. I'd take him over Schott in a heartbeat!

His Ravens teams were the ones nobody looked forward to playing, regardless of record.

No way Jerry would've paid Harbaugh that kind of money had he been on the market last year.

I agree

He hasn’t done much in Baltimore other than the one SB 13 years ago

It will be interesting to see if the Giants turn things around under his guidance (which I doubt)

Or if they remain pure shit even with JH at the helm

Either result will be telling. If after a few years the giants are still the laughing stock of the division then we know that it’s their front office that is their biggest problem. Much like ours is for us.

But if they start turning things around in a year or two, then we know if was the shitty coaches they kept hiring

I suspect it is a little of both, but I’m more inclined to go with the former, rather than the latter as to what their main problem has been all these years.

the giants havent had good QB play in a long time

dart is a work-in-progress for learning to play under center after not doing much of it in college

IMO... if harbaugh can get dart to manage the offense from under center and stay away from shotgun, then the giants will become a problem in the division

We'll see. The Giants have some quality young talent and appear to have their QB.

But his record is his record, and for 13 years it's not been that great. He's126-87 (59%) in the regular season and he's 4-7 in the postseason. Harbaugh has been a JAG coach for 10+ years now IMO. To me he's really no different than somebody like McCarthy.

He was an excellent coach when he first took over and his Super Bowl win they had a great run.

But his record and postseason non-success since then speaks for itself. He's winning at a 59% clip and has a losing record in the postseason.

The Cowboy record since 2012 when Harbaugh won that Super Bowl is 120-92-1, vs Harbaugh's 126-87 with a FAR better front office and GM situation. Harbaugh's had 6 non-playoff seasons, Dallas has had 7.

We all know what Dallas is, but Harbaugh has been right there with us.
