Usually this is the point in the week where I bemone how badly the Cowboys are going to fuck up the upcoming game. I'm having a hard time with that tonight, though, since the Raiders offense is a dumpster fire on par with our defense. I can't tell if Geno Smith's gone that far off the cliff, since their o-line is atrocious and the only receiving weapon they have is Brock Bowers. I do believe in Ashton Jeanty, though. Kid gets some actual blockers and the focus off him and he'll be something.
The Raiders defense isn't bad when the offense doesn't put them behind the eight ball, but they're not good enough to hold the Dallas offense down. Javonte Williams will have running lanes, CeeDee, Ferguson and Pickens will all get open. Aubrey is Aubrey. Well shit, I didn't have a prediction down when I started typing this, but I guess I don now. 27-20 Cowboys win.

Who sees the possibility of Jeanty having a breakout game against Clark, Williams and Logan because of a lack of being on the same page in the first game? Possible?

I'm still holding on to the idea that Jeanty is a beast. I know he isn't showing it in the numbers in Vegas, but I think that has more to do with Geno Smith and maybe the OL. Geno was a career journeyman. Somehow he found a few years of upper level play, but he seems to have regressed back to being a journeyman.

As far as I can tell (don't follow Vegas much at all) their OL isn't so hot either.

Yes, I might be making excuses, but I'm not ready to say Jeanty is a bust. He's got to be better than Skattaboo and Skattaboo was doing well. So I think it has more to do with the team around him.

Anyway, I can envision us not quite being on the same page and Jeanty squeezing through for big gains.

I guess you cant rule anything out, but the Raiders OL is pretty poor and they just lost their best OL (their C) for several weeks.

The Raiders gave the Broncos a much tougher game than we did. Since then Jerry's gone shopping and got some better ingredients on defense. It's still Chef Eberflus cooking the meal though, so I'm not sure what difference it will make. Add to that, I don't think we're a good road team, and add to that, I also don't think we play well on natural grass.

Maybe the Kneeland tragedy will inspire the players to put on a performance in his honor. Or maybe it's completely knocked the stuffing out of them. I can genuinely see an argument for any result here, including another tie.
