He's got a point though. Everyone acts like Parsons is starving, waiting to "get paid" while making 20 million. I'm sure they're tired of hearing the nonsense. There's something else going on here though, both parties are snippy. Parsons even floated the idea of getting paid "elsewhere."

Maybe.

But there was a way to avoid all that shit too. They could have (and EASILY) traded him before the draft for a boatload of draft compensation.

Parsons has said several times he didnt need to be the highest paid player, but the fucktard Jones' had to know that STILL meant you were going to have to back up the Brinks truck to keep him. If they didnt want to do that they SHOULD have traded him and took the boatload of picks and cap space to improve the team elsewhere.

If he sits out and doesn't practice (or play in real games) he is doing NOBODY any good. It also doesn't do the brand new HC who's trying to implement new systems (offense and defense) and culture any good whatsoever to have this hanging over the team.

The Jones' have been fucktards for over 3 decades, and it never gets better.
