I don't hate the Luke Schoonmaker pick. He was someone I thought we might look at if the other TE's got scooped up although I thought it was a tad early for him. But he's a Harbaugh TE. I loved Harbaugh TE's at Stanford and I like them from Michigan, why? Because he coaches his TE's to be like NFL TE's. They are a huge part of his blocking schemes and almost all of them turn into quality receiving TE options (the Stanford TE's continued to be good prospects after he left because of David Shaw, like Dalton Schultz was)

Schoonmaker also tested incredibly well and our TE coach Lunda Wells said Schoon had the best blocking fundamentals of any TE in the draft. I think we are all going to be pleasantly surprised with him, really the only downside to him is he's already 24, but I believe George Kittle was a little older when the Niners got him too.

Love the Overshown pick and so did many other draft/personnel people, including ESPN's Louis Reddick. He'll be a massive upgrade over Jabril Cox and may find his way onto the defense in some sub packages as a rookie. Was a former safety, can run and cover and as Daniel Jeremiah pointed out Texas utilized him as a spy on the QB the past two seasons alot, and he excels at it.

This was Bob McGinn's final top-100 release. He (like Gosselin was) have been by far the most accurate in predicting top-100's for a long time.

All 3 of our picks were in his top-100. He lists them in order he has them ranked for each position group.

Here is my first and only listing of how I’m projecting the first 100 players to be selected Thursday and Friday in the NFL draft.

Players are listed from best to worst within each position group.

This also will serve as my entry into The Huddle Report’s Top 100 board contest. According to THR, these scores have become the standard by which draft publications, sites and media personnel are measured.

Since first entering in 2009 my board has finished first five times (2011, 2012, 2013, 2019, 2022) and tied for second twice (2010, 2020). In terms of five-year averages (2018-’22), mine is tied for first place with NFL Draft Rough at 86.0.

I don't dislike Schoonmaker. He was definately not at the top of my list, but if we weren't taking a te in the first round, he's probably better value than what it would have cost to trade up for one in the second.

The Overshown pick excites me. Great value, they may limit his time to start but he'll earn his way onto the field pretty quickly.

Another list of best available. Bolded a few that I like for us. Couple not listed here that I like for RB are Georgia's Kenny McIntosh and UAB's Dewayne McBride. QB Tanner McKee, Clayton Tune maybe Stetson Bennett. Also really like the C from Michigan Oluwatimi.

We do have a stud LG. His name is Tyler Smith. I understand that Tyron gets hurt. But we have been developing Josh Ball and Waletzko, and they like the way Farniok has come along.

They wouldn't have wasted their time signing Chuma Edoga if they didn't think he could play.

Plus, there are still decent G prospects left on the board. A guy like Anthony Bradford, maybe Voorhees. Even OT who might move to G like the kid from Old Dominion.

Just remember that nobody really knows squat until the real pads come on.
I remember when the Giants signed Will Hernandez. He was supposed to be a stud guard. The reality is not so much.

Who remembers who the best RB in the Emmitt Smith class was supposed to be or the LB that Jimmy coveted?

Blair Thomas and James Francis.

So all I'm saying is let's try to be positive and at least wait to trash the picks once we see them play.

As of pick 16 in round 4 here are some names of prospects that are decently regarded still available regardless of position. I think if you chase position you make mistakes. Just get good players and figure out how to fill in needs in the second wave of free agency or trade.

There are still decent prospects available..

Tyler Scott WR
Antonio Johnson SAF
Terell SMtih CB
AT Perry WR
Zach Evans RB
JL Skinner SAF
Joey Fisher G (played OT in college)
Andrew Vorhees G
Eric Gray RB

Cowboys took another pre-draft visitor, pass rusher Viliami "Junior" Fehoko. Is not related to the Fehoko we drafted last yr, but is related to Bucs DT Vita Vea.

Has a lot of pass rush and TFL production and apparently San Jose St defensive coaches used him all over the front 7.

For a draft that everyone thought would be pretty offense heavy, it aint.

3 picks of 4 are DL/LB. 4 of 6 on defense if you also count the trade for Gilmore.

Barring trades, we have 3 picks remaining. 169, 212 and 244.

They are currently on pick 140.

Is Josh Ball that bad or is it more that these woke cucks are still ticked off at him for getting into trouble with domestic violence?

I remember that when Ball was drafted, one guy immediately said that he hoped Ball wouldn't make the team because of it.

Ball had a decent scouting report coming out, and I really haven't seen a reason to be so down on him.

If Vorhees is there, I think Dallas has to take him. Draft him and stash him. Maybe McKee might be worth a shot as a QB if they think they can clean up his throwing motion.

All the other QBs are a wasted pick, IMO. We might be able to get Duggan as a UDFA.

I've seen Noah Ruggles decently graded. I don't think anyone has drafted him yet. But, I'd wait until round 7 because, again, he might be available as a UDFA. He won't find too many better opportunities to win a starting job than Dallas.

McCarthy said they were going to move Ball inside to G and try him there in offseason and training camp. I dout he makes the team this year.

It does sound like they are very excited about Matt Waletzko though. He very well may end up the starting RT depending on Terrance Steele's recovery and effectiveness once he does return.

Todd Archer just tweeted that the coaches said if the season started today, Tyler Smith would start at LG with Tyron back at LT.

I still think they are likely to sign another free agent before camp starts, maybe as soon as this week.
