It’s always been expensive for quarterbacks.
Only when you don't play hardball with any of them, or even fucking do your due diligence before signing them, like maybe a fucking physical exam? Romo already had his bulging disc and you never found out about it until after the signing. You're irresponsible.

LET DAK TEST THE REAL FUCKING MARKET! Quarterbacks aren't necessarily expensive! It's idiots like you always paying the fake "market rate" that make them so!

It's an artificial fucking market. Make it a real one.

The worst part about Romo is that we didn't even make an attempt to find his replacement. It's just this all or nothing attitude when it comes to the position.

Report: Leon Lett to remain on Cowboys staff

It appears Leon Lett’s long relationship with the Cowboys is going to continue at least a little while longer.

Todd Archer of ESPN reports that Lett is set to remain the team’s assistant defensive line coach. The Cowboys have hired Jim Tomsula to be the head defensive line coach.

Lett has been in that role since the 2011 season and he previously spent 10 years playing defensive line in Dallas. He won three Super Bowls and made two Pro Bowls over his first decade with the team

He also became known as the guy who fumbled the ball out of the end zone after being chased down by former Bills receiver Don Beebe near the end of Super Bowl XXVII and as the guy who mistakenly tried to recover a blocked field goal in the snow against the Dolphins on Thanksgiving 1993. Lett couldn’t corral the ball, the Dolphins recovered and kicked a game-winning field goal on the next play.

Lett joins offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier as holdovers on Mike McCarthy’s staff this season.

The Cowboys operate under the "grass is toxic green goo on the other side" belief system as opposed to the "grass is greener on the other side" belief system. The Jones' are so terrified of their own roster building skills that they actually think mediocrity is good as long as it means that there is little to no risk of bottoming out.

What they don't realize that while they are in paranoia they are missing out on opportunities to improve.

If the scheme is the same, then what changes? We are still the same mediocre team without the clapping? And people in the local media say Will McClay is a genius. What a joke.

Don’t underestimate the absence of clapping

So far: Stevie still ball washing Garrett. And it sounds Jason "three yards and a cloud of dust " Witten may return.

The scheme will only remain 100% the same if it works. If there's problems McCarthy will adjust. He won't try to clap it off and then pass the buck in the postgame.

The Cowboys have been working to put together their assistant coaching staff since hiring Mike McCarthy as their new head coach earlier this month and the team formally announced 19 of those coaches on Monday.

Many of the names on the list have already been reported. Offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, defensive coordinator Mike Nolan and special teams coach John Fassel are some of the bigger names on that list.

The Cowboys named Rob Davis their assistant head coach and former Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards has been given the title of senior defensive assistant.

Offensive line coach Joe Philbin, assistant offensive line coach Jeff Blasko, wide receivers coach Adam Henry, running backs coach Skip Peete, quarterbacks coach Doug Nussmeier and tight ends coach Lunda Wells round out the offensive staff.

The other side of the ball includes defensive line coach Jim Tomsula, linebackers coach Scott McCurley, assistant defensive line coach Leon Lett, defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist and defensive backs coach Al Harris. Matt Daniels will be the assistant special teams coach, Scott Tolzien will be a coaching assistant and Markus Paul will be the strength and conditioning coach.
