Also kind of off topic but seeing Darren McFadden at 11. Unreal how just barely better than average he's been most of his career.
I don't follow Oakland, so I don't know, but I wonder how much of McFadden's lack of success is on him and how much of it is due to being with a crappy, disorganized organization that regularly cycles through coaches.

Zero has a point. They let Joseph Barksdale go and he's beasting as a OT for St. Louis. They clearly don't recognize or are unable to develop talent on the Oline.

Sometimes the coaching in one place is just better than the other no matter what the talent is.

Yep. Terrible organization always in chaos, no QB ever so people could pretty much load up on the run, and those skinny legs kept getting dinged up.

I wouldn't be surprised if we did bring him in, though I still expect AP. At least either of those guys could take it the distance.

But yet we are told that Callahan is such a great loss. Now was this Callahan's inability to recognize and develop Barksdale?

And being that the Cowboys received so much praise for their OL... you would think Jerry would have made more of an effort to keep Callahan, I'm sure he could have matched or exceeded anything as to what the Redskins offered, in addition to having a winning team.

Would seem to me that they have great confidence in Pollack.

Uh, Barksdale never played for Dallas. Drafted by Oakland, released on 9/26/2012, signed by St. Louis on 9/27/2012. So, I'm not sure where Callahan could have developed him.

Callahan does appear to be a pretty good OL coach. Just look at that crew in NY when he was with the Jets and what they did before and after.

I'm sure they would have paid to keep him except they basically jerked him around last year. Garrett and Callahan didn't get along.

Callahan may have been the guy to sign off on Nate Livings and Mackenzy Bernadeay (too lazy to look up if they all came here the same year). Maybe Jerry is willing to let him go since he burned them on those two. I know that sounds Zone'ish but I have a feeling Frank Pollack is more than ready to be the OL coach.

Also, I ran out of things to watch and listen to on my trip back from Louisville. I listened to the last episode of the Draft Show and they said Stephen told the season ticket holders that had they not traded up for Demarcus Lawrence, the picks would have been Kony Ealy and Trai Turner. We had already known that they tried to trade back into the 3rd to get Turner. That tells me we aren't done upgrading the O Line. Whether it was due to Free's pending free agency or Leary's shaky knees, they clearly wanted to add Turner even after drafting Zack Martin.

Livings was a bust, but I thought Bernadeau was playing OK at the end of 2013

2 guys I'd really like to see from that list that I think could help this team in some capacity without breaking the bank... 2 Bears, Stephen Paea and Peanut Tillman. Assuming Tillman is healthy.
