Why? Do you really think that a 34yead old QB coming off two back surgeries will play for much longer?

One of those surgeries was to remove a cyst, which basically is just a little more serious than popping a zit.

Anyone been to CZ?

It's fucking great.

During the DeCastro debates there were a number of posters who said you just don't take OGs so high.

All the bullshit about the running game not correlating to win.

Both of those ideas are pretty much shot. Everyone's on board with a OG because now Dallas can "pound the rock".

I invented that and I don't like the pick. If we weren't going to take Manziel we should have taken a safety.

Trade away next year's first? Seriously?

If you believe this years draft is deep and has a player you think can start or play an extremely important role, and you dont believe next years draft is as good, why not?

Most years I would agree, you wouldnt want to. But if we could potentially end up with two starting DL's out of round two instead of just one, that improved the team.

Sully Bald Head dude may have gotten some good info this year:

@cbs11swd: Cowboys brass working phones as 1st RD ended last night. Look for trade UP in 2nd to get Ware replacement at DE. #allaboutdefensenow #dfwsp

Probably will have to move up from 47 if they want Lawrence or Crighton, doubt either is there.

Lawrence highly rumored today to be going to ATL with their first pick tonight.

With a little poor luck we could easily be a 6-10 or worse team next year. That's a top 10 type pick. You don't even chance trading that for a #41 pick.

Ware replacement. Couple of zoners said there's notice to replace. Just 6 sacks.

Be patient and be smart. Too many DL left to have to trade up, don't give up picks. A 3rd rounder in this year's deep draft is a starter and a 4th rounder is someone who should be starting within 2 years. We will get a really good D Lineman at 47.

Probably too much to ask for Jerry to be patient two days in a row.

Agreed. If next year's draft isn't deep, then picks early in the draft are a premium.

Yeah ok, but with a little better luck and a defense that was even just average, we'd easily win the division too.

We almost won it last year with a horrendously bad defense (arguably the worst in the league), a ton of injuries and our starting QB out for season finale.

So do you agree or disagree that if we could somehow end up with Lawrence or Crighton and Jernigan by having two 2nds instead of just one, that would dramatically help the team.

Because right now I would say the odds of us getting either of those DE's where we are are extremely slim, even getting Jernigan there (a walk in 1 tech DT starter IMO) is doubtful.

Rams were trying to move up for Martin after they picked Donald:

Zack Martin - G - Cowboys
Coach Jeff Fisher confirmed the Rams tried trading back into the first round for G/T Zack Martin, who went to the Cowboys at No. 16 overall.

The Rams were talking with the Ravens, who held the 17th overall pick. "It would have been pricey but worth it," said Fisher. St. Louis is dead set on shoring up its offensive line. They have zero depth up front and could still stand to upgrade at center and right tackle. The Rams hold the Nos. 44 and 75 picks on Friday
