NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Don't know why protecting the football at the end of plays is such an issue here. That said, it is frustrating to me to see them blow a guy down by contact when the ball is clearly being stripped out (NYG game last week) and every week see them let 3-4-6 guys pile on Murray and extend the play...

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Yeah, that was a bad organization decision, and we know who made it. He (decision maker) trotted right down to the sideline and told the HC to let Romo go back in.

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Don't get me wrong, Romo didn't lose the game. The defense deserves plenty of blame, as do Randle and Murray for losing two bad fumbles. Murray had a stellar game otherwise, but his fumble cost us at least 3, and probably 7 pts. Colt fucking McCoy completed 80%+ of his passes and most of his...

That part I agree with and wouldn't argue about at all.

Ask Gruden, he said it before I did. Romo looked like he never recognized the blitz on a lot of those plays. Its his job to make the reads/change the play/set the protections.

So why wasn't the backup QB rushed/knocked down/sacked like that? Weeden didn't hand off every play you know.

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Did Garrett or Linehan call any of those plays? I mean ANY play after Romo came back in the game Looked like the QB was doing a lot of the play calling himself, or changing stuff up on virtually every snap.

The sacks allowed weren't physical, they were mental. Romo got totally outthink tonight. Gruden was spot on in saying most (if not all) those blitz sacks were on Romo

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

yeah not sure what he was trying to do on that last play...couldn't move and all night couldn't read a blitz to save his life...gruden was right, most of those sacks were on him

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Yep...same 'ol Dallas Never seen a veteran QB as totally flummoxed by the blitz as Romo was tonight. He had absolutely zero clue what he was looking at. Wont be a popular opinion, but we probably would have won had they held Romo out. Weeden wasn't hit one time when he was in there IIRC.

Anybody have confidence this defense will actually stop Washington this drive and give us a chance to win?

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Missed tackle fest by defense here tonight. They cant tackle fucking shit And no pass rush to speak of again, even against a 3rd string QB that nobody else wanted. Dude is completing like 80% or so of his passes on us tonight

Games like this are really disappointing. Was starting to really believe we might be different this year, then we see this.
