For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

It's not a cliche. It's a cardinal sin of NFL quarterbacking. Especially inside your own 20! Everyone knows it's a dumb play.

I would rather have Tony under center for this Cowboys team right now, than any other quarterback playing today. And if he won the MVP I'd be perfectly fine with it. He said he would be better this year, and he has been. But then of course, at the time he said that he knew something we didn't...

NFL Week #17: Dallas Cowboys (11-4) @ Washington Redskins (4-11)

Love the timing of this one.

Likely we will have to get past Seattle, in Seattle. To be able to see that NE game.

Sarcasm. The term has been "Soup Bow."

If you'd remember right, my comments were after that week one debacle vs. SF. And of course, I was correct in that we DID do better, featuring the run. Again, if you feature the run, it really doesn't matter a whole hell of alot who your QB is. Eli Manning, anyone?

You might want to look at that play again. Jeffcoat was there the whole time. And Tony just SAID on the radio, it was a bonehead play. You don't throw across your body to the wide side of the field.

Umm, no. I said they MIGHT be better, IF Tony went down and that forced them to feature the RUN. None of us knew they were going to feature the run, AND keep crippled Tony relatively healthy.

Hey man, this is just reality. Does anyone here really think we handle Seattle today?

    Anthony Hitchens ankle

X-Rays must have been negative. But, having had all three possible issues (a break, high sprain or medial sprain) the actual break was a better situation for inflammation, everything. It was just alot easier to deal with. For me anyway. Sometimes a sprain can be alot worse than a break.

I'm not a cheerleader, folks. I know this team at its core is still a mediocre, 8-8 type team. Not alot unlike the Giants of 2007. Avoiding lots of injury, getting opponents like Seattle when they are in disarray and not in December when they would stomp your ass, and getting hot at the right...

You don't understand usage, verb vs noun? Cutting the attempts in half limits the quarterback's liability. That does NOT say the quarterback IS a liability.

For the few lingering Romo haters out there: Romo deserves 2014 NFL MVP Award

Cutting the pass attempts almost in half limits any quarterback's liability. Doesn't matter who the quarterback is.

Just, not the really bonehead ones. Ones which are vintage, repeated mistakes.

That was vintage Tony bonehead play. You don't throw back across your body like that. Nine year veteran, he knows better and even just said so on the radio.

The purpose of it was to limit Tony's exposure to hits. In a happy side effect, it also greatly reduces his liability.

When greatly reducing your pass attempts and reducing your influence and liability as a QB wins you the league MVP, then yeah it's really not worth much.

Yeah, like that really really DUMB pick he threw today. Lofting the ball across his body to the far side of the field, letting it float in the air forever so the defender could run under it.

I do agree Tony should be in the conversation for league MVP though, and wouldn't object at all if he won it. It takes a hell of a man to do what he does with all the physical issues he's had since that invasive lower back surgery.
