    Hobbies

Me too. Making really old radios and stereo sets work again, fixing people's 8 track tape cartridges after they were 8-up, (cost you a dollar) and building plastic model kits. Had the 150 in 1 electronics project kit from Radio Shack too and would make all kinds of stuff with it. Oh and...

    Hobbies

Anyone else have hobbies they would like to talk about and maybe even share? I do digital audio and carpentry/refinishing/re-purposing. Digital Audio - I sell studio time at the flat rate of $20/hr for anyone who wants to get themselves a CD made of their band or whatever. Do remote digital...

Bob Sturm: Not being play-caller helping Jason Garrett

:lol And the d-coordinators know that, is what I'm saying. They better hope the "fix" isn't worse than the problem though!

They're working on it. They know his tendencies very well. Knowing and stopping though, two entirely different things.

Bob Sturm: Not being play-caller helping Jason Garrett

It's actually happened, but in freak instances when there's more than one violator of the pocket.

Bob Sturm: Not being play-caller helping Jason Garrett

This speaks more to my point. Garrett didn't suddenly wake up a changed man, philosophy-wise. He awoke one day to find out his QB had back surgery that 90% of people never really fully recover from.

    Jerry Jones annointing Lawrence

That's not really fair. How many people do you think could have withstood a 300+ pounder stomping on their metatarsals and twisting, grinding their foot in, without breakage? It was a freak, fluke injury, not brittle bones.

They were always really good at it. Just refused to keep after it. Over a 5 yd per carry average for Murray, always. Redball told Linehan we want to run the ball more, primarily because of Tony's back.

Bob Sturm: Not being play-caller helping Jason Garrett

Not to belabor the point but it does bear repeating - Garrett did not suddenly wake up one day and change his whole philosophy. He woke up one day and realized his QB has back issues after major invasive disk surgery and needs more help. Running the ball alot more IS more help. What he didn't...

I'm not disputing that. There is no doubt the attack scheme and attitude made these guys better. As a unit. Which was the point.

They and Eagles fans too, start raising their kids on Dallas hate, from birth.

Trade deadline near- will Dallas made a deal?

That wasn't anything like what I was saying. I know he isn't right out of college. I am saying that without real in-game work, very few if any RBs are going to learn protections and get good at blocking. He is not going to learn protections in practice. The mental part, possibly but not the...

Bob Sturm: Not being play-caller helping Jason Garrett

Yeah, just stop trying to pretend the Dallas line of the 90s was a group of elite, highly sought after guys. They were not.

They were "no names" because they were no names. SO highly regarded, they went in 2nd and 3rd rounds. They greatly OVER-achieved.

Trade deadline near- will Dallas made a deal?

Stuff you really can't learn at practice speed. Emmitt Smith had trouble with blocking and protections early on too, but had the advantage of learning under fire, in full speed games. Hell, what back out of college is ever gonna not need learning in pro blocking and protections? Williams should...
