Not the only one.... But then again all of those had great years. That isn't what makes them great players.
Wouldn't expect you to know the difference.
They also know when the play coming is a run or doesn't involve Dez, he leaves the huddle early as soon as he knows it's not his play.
ALL "great" and "elite" receivers do this, no?
You don't recall there were several of us here talking about expecting a dropoff when he got the big money? The foot injury was unfortunate and also losing Tony was, but for whatever reason, the dropoff happened.
Perfect conditions next year maybe?
Last year was a charmed year for lots of Cowboys players.
Nobody argues past numbers. We're talking how he does need to improve, in some very specific areas.
Hey - great, elite receivers make scrub quarterbacks look good. Same way great, elite quarterbacks are Kingmakers, making scrub...
We meanies who knew there would be a huge dropoff in his production - injuries and QB play notwithstanding - KNOW his faults and foibles. And also know he is the type of personality who WILL just fucking slack off now that he got his big check. And also know the coaching and ownership will...
Never did. Never said otherwise.
All you need do is admit he CAN improve in some areas and needs to. That's all anyone is saying. You act like you're defending a bullied little fat boy.
His TD last night came from a for once, good play call. They were playing off him by 5-10 yards in the red zone, something really stupid to do, and they threw the quick WR screen to him and he bulled his way into the end zone.
There's no doubt he has the advantage over most DBs in open field...
Moving out of the Cotton Bowl changed the type of fan attending the games. It went from blue collar beer drinking ruffians, to mostly the socialite suburban types.
If he is not rehabbed and able, he shouldn't be out there.
The greatness of Romo?
Just admit he can improve himself and needs to do so, and you won't look so silly. Everyone else can see it. I blame the coaching for letting it go on. But he needs to grow the fuck up and take responsibility...
But..... He's a Nowhere Man for entire halfs, three quarters, when healthy. Again, allowing the D to take Dez away ain't all Dez, it's mostly gutless, "risk averse" coaching.
My POINT is Dez has lots to work on and lots of room for improvement.
LOL
None of them that I have ever seen, has actually SAID anything negative about Dez. But they just laugh and throw up 'the x.' They tell him "get back in yo huddle" after they keep him from chasing down a interception, with trash talk.
Allllll signs of respect, right?
You're deluded. They...
