The Cowboys had the worst offseason in the NFC East

The problem as I see it is, Ginger really only likes to run the ball late to "put away" close games late. Problem is, the opponent knows this and loads up the box and we are too stupid ("risk averse") to take advantage of this when it happens late. The result is 3 plays and punt, no real time...

    Jaylon Smith playing this year?

If you think a guy who scores 18 on his Wonderlic isn't dense, you're dense.

    Jaylon Smith playing this year?

So, we equate graduation from college with intelligence now? Smith's 18 score on his Wonderlic is better than Claiborne's 4, I'll give him that.

    Jaylon Smith playing this year?

Dallas, of course. We like dumb players.

    Jaylon Smith playing this year?

To win the two needed to make it to 8-8?

With draft and free agency complete... which standard guys are on the bubble?

LOL Hope springs eternal. This is Ginger we're talking about, who learned nothing at all from 2014.

    Predict Our Record

Big difference between this thread from last year, and this year's "premature" prediction thread...

He fits their RRBC ideal. What, you think EE is gonna be a 400 carry, feature back?

Why former Baylor basketball player Gathers was too good for the 'boys to pass up

Thanks for digging that 1994 piece up. I'll quote from it. This was pretty widely recognized, commented on and reported back then, and is even in Jimmy's book. It's common knowledge.

That wasn't as much a "Romo Special" as it was Watt taking a really bad shot at him, looked then and now to me like Watt was trying to be gentle with Tony.

The back surgery gave that to you already. He is NOT the Romo he was before that, even he tells us this.

With draft and free agency complete... which standard guys are on the bubble?

The need for speed is fundamental to the game. We don't have anyone in that regard who really scares opponents. And it shows.

Not at all, but we've gone 8-8 before with a completely healthy Romo. We're a mediocre, 8-8 to 9-7 team. Actually no, instead they said "We know Dallas can't do shit offensively so we're gonna stay very conservative against them, run low risk plays and protect the ball, then get what we need...

    Premature Prognostication

Yes, think on that. That's much more of a function of teams NOT NEEDING to score much on us, to get the win. Assuming of course that you're referring to our #17 standing for points allowed.

We have shit for depth. When is the last time a Dallas Cowboy came off the bench and wow'd anyone. Our player personnel after the starters, sucks. And the defensive starters are only slightly above mediocre themselves.

Yes, a fairly solid 8-8. Can't predict his usage amount or effectiveness in his use. It's Garrett, remember.

Will his ego allow him to admit he's been wrong about Ginger all these years? Agreed, but this is also what keeps Ginger around. Yep.

I seem to remember Jerruh making some comment like, "why couldn't we coach them up" last year. But at the same time, the injuries were the excuse and pretty much still are. No Romo means Ginger gets another Mulligan?
