You "remember" it wrong. He was never a "rising star" to the point he might have gone in the 1st round. But the DUI is another element of luck in the Dak story - without that he might well have been taken before where we got him. Late 2nd round, tops. Another piece of luck was our staff...

With Dak still on the board, both times. We never intended to even draft Dak, much less have him be the future franchise. Two bullets - Lynch is a complete bust. Selected 1st round, 26th overall and spent last year on the Steelers' roster and interestingly, didn't see ANY playing time there...
