You beat me to it. There is nothing athletic about Livings, Bernadeau, and especially Costa.
Truth is... I don't think Jerry and Co. knows what they want out of their OL.
Roy Williams was a baller in college. He was the first, and so far remains the only secondary player to have won both the Thorpe Award --- top DB, and Nagurski Award --- top defensive player, all in the same year.
Yep. BTW... like your new mock. Best one you'vbe done, and one of the best ones yet. Although, I'd rather either draft Armstead, OT for round 3, or maybe Brandon WIlliams, or possibly Eric Reid, S, but doubt he falls to the 3rd round.
I would have picked Tyler Bray for the Vikings. Hasn't been mentioned, but the Vikes probably should trade for Alex Smith or just pick him up when the 49ers cut him.
The point is, I'm not on the Kiffin bandwagon just yet, however, I feel a bit better about the hire because of Marinelli. Doubt it could be any worse than what we had in Ryan, but... who knows. For a few years now, I have been wanting to go back to the 4-3. That alone is what I'm excited about.
I'd be very pissed if we took Vaccaro. There is plenty of safeties in this draft to where we do not need to spend a 1st on one. The dropoff between Vaccaro and all the other safeties is negliable (sp). I'd rather spend a 4th on McDonald than a 1st on Vaccaro.
That's about right. I think Jerry is intent in taking the least talented players for the OL as possible, under the delusion that he will transform them into All-Pros, and thereby he will get credit.
I really hope that Garrett AND Callahan both stress to Jerry the need to fix the OL with...
