Garrett's scheme is infallible, it is all execution.
Wait, doesn't execution fall on coaching?
Well, you can't expect it to work without an All Pro line and 3 #1 WR type options......
So, there are changes every year. How are you going to make changes with no cap space and just the draft?
Either they try to trade someone major (which may be possible based upon Jerry's comments after the season) or change schemes.
What else can you do?
I always forget about him, but I don't think he is a good 3-4 fit anyway. He reminds me of James Marten. As soon as Dallas drafted him, I chalked it up as a wasted pick. Maybe I'll be wrong.
I'm guessing they cut Free (designated a June 1 cut), restructure Romo, restructure Carr and sign Spencer to a long term deal.
Ratliff is the one I'm not sure about. If he's cut, you are forced into a drafting a NT early and/or signing someone to replace him.
Cutting Free means you really...
The Jerry Jones Offseason Plan
Resign Spencer to a new, long term deal.
Restructure and extend Romo
Restructure Carr
This will get the team more or less in line with the salary cap.
Free Agency: Resign Sterling Moore to be the 4th corner/S. Resign Felix Jones as the second RB.
The coaching...
Good call, Bob.

Along with a ton of other complementary stuff from Romo and Pennington in that link.
Actually that was Payton. Lee was just QC his first two years until Payton got promoted.
I'm his agent.
Whatever, it isn't that big of a deal. I just find Wilson to be absolutely worthless and I'd like to try to develop another late round/UDFA QB. Lee has at least been through that process successfully once and is familiar with Romo. He's also a guy who I think might rein Romo...
Yeah, he seemed like a guard in the NFL to me. I like the idea of a guard with LT feet. Give you a good guy that could move out there if needed in a pinch.
Marshal Yanda, for example.
I'm sure Payton gets some of it. He was gone before Romo started though.
Wildcat.....I know it is gimmicky, but teams still use it today and Lee gets full credit for bringing that to the NFL.
Again, more than Wilson.
What do you think a QB coach does? Who developed him? He has to get some credit for being Romo's QB coach when he made the transition from UDFA FCS QB to NFL benchwarmer to Pro Bowl QB. That alone is more than Wade Wilson has done ever. The closest thing to a QB ever developed under Wilson...
I dunno. Developed Romo. Brought the Wildcat to the NFL. Was QB coach when Pennington took second in MVP voting.
What has Wade Wilson done?
He's an upgrade to Wilson, he's available, he was around during the development of the team's current starting QB, he's known to the organization...
I want to follow him through the draft process and see how much of what he says rings true. Curious how much info he is privy to now that he works within the organization again.
