I see all these projections for the personnel transition to 4-3 and I'm not sure I agree. Rat is always the 1 tech? I'd think he might excel as the 3 tech. That is what Sapp played in the Tampa 2. Hatcher I see as more of a 1 tech or even a DE on the strong side. He was a college 4-3 DE...

Jerry always plays it year to year. No long term plan which is why these comments about driving across water and stuff scare me. I kind of thought the 4-3 move was designed, at least partially, to rationalize letting Spencer go.

I think Sparano is a horrible OL coach. He's never developed anyone that wasn't a first round pick. I do think he does an OK job of getting more out of veteran guys though (Colombo, Incognito, etc.). Not sure how he is as a TE coach. He's been poor since leaving Dallas, but I can't discount...
