    Ball was actually solid throughout...the almost int, broke up a smoke screen, and made a couple nice tackles. I don't think you need superstar CBs in this system, you get pressure and even lesser CBs can play.

    The Eagles D looked very much improved. They collapsed the Rams O-line for most of the game and covered well. The line is still a work in progress on the offensive side, but they were impressive in that they did not play their best, yet still easily beat an improving Rams team.

    Not sure why people are married to the Carter pick...we could have done much better with it than a guy coming off major knee surgery...it is not that difficult. The guy is better suited for a 4-3 as well.

    Carter was a bad pick...Moore, Gilchrist, Reed, Austin, Paea...I would have taken any of them, and there were plenty of OL I liked better in that spot. I hope he plays well, but he was not a smart pick there. Mason Foster went in the 3rd and I liked him better than Carter coming out.

    Agreed...mistake in a big way unless he shifts out to DE. I am all for rewarding players, but we do it often for players that are at the tail end of their career.

    The red flag for me is that the rams have been WR starved for a long time and he was still not good enough to be retained.
