NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Yeah, I always go back to that good run at the end of 2009 when we made a good run to the playoffs. We ran that quick bubble screen all the time. Just like you see every team in football do. We've pretty much completely abandoned that ever since. Why? Especially as physical a runner as Dez...

Gosselin: Gassed and overmatched: Cowboys' defense exposed in loss

Gosselin is right for once. Even though the Skins D is pretty decent and always seems to play us tough, a top-5 O should carry this team like it has all year. We all knew going into the year that this D could only hope to be mediocre at best. Especially considering we were going against Colt...

What are your thoughts after sleeping on it?

Yep. The 105.3 guy in the locker room said several defensive players indicated to him off the record that they were exhausted after that game, just totally out of gas, which they hadn't been up to now. Those extra 12 or 15 or whatever snaps they had to play made the difference. People have...

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Did the same thing on his radio show this morning. Did Garrett ever blame the playcaller when he was doing it himself? Nope. Oh sure, he then talks around and covers every base like he does, saying Linehan has done a really good job, but he's sure to let everyone know it wasn't his fault...

What are your thoughts after sleeping on it?

I think this is just one of those things that happens in this league. Every week in the NFL teams that shouldn't win, win, and teams that shouldn't lose, lose. This was one of those classic games where the underdog with a lousy QB has everything go right -- they got turnovers, our QB was a...

Why is Dwayne Harris still returning kicks/punts?

He has sucked lately, which is surprising. The last couple of years he's been a good surprise. Wonder what's happened to him.

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Postgame show saying Murray pretty much went on a rampage in the locker room after the game. He was seriously pissed, ranting and banging his helmet into the wall. Dude speculated he was mad about not getting the ball more, especially at the end of the game. Just his speculation, but not hard...

:lol Definitely have never seen an owner interviewed during a game. Did a big double-take when I saw that.

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

What's crazy is that at noon today, ESPN Dallas had an old scout on who predicted what Haslett would do. Said he's going to bring a ton of high-risk blitzes from all over, so he'd probably make some plays but you know you're going to gash him at times when he guesses wrong. And that's...

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Murray is no Emmitt. He's already never made it through a season healthy. And he's on pace for more carries than Emmitt ever had anyway. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for running it as much as we can with this O-line. I just think other guys need to get the ball more.

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Yeah, Bowles had to be drooling watching that game. And now we're on a short week *and* went to overtime to boot. Gonna be tough for the guys physically.

On the blitzes, Tony might not have even been thinking straight with his back and the painkiller for it. Another reason Weeden should've probably stayed in. But that's a tough call to not send the franchise back in.

Don't think so. I guess they didn't need him to set the edge. (Dammit, you beat me do it.)

That was really weird. As much as they were blitzing, Dez should've feasted. I couldn't help wondering if his head wasn't in the game with his switch of agents and all. Maybe he's thinking about his money?

Seriously, how does Murray -still- not been forced to "high and tight" the ball Tiki Barber style? Is old man Coughlin the only one who can make people do that? And Randle waved it around exactly like Murray does.

Durant could be out for the season

LOL Also... Remember when Norton played half the season with a rolled up bicep? Does anyone do that anymore?

NFL Week #8: Washington Redskins (2-5) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-1)

Re: Murray's carries... I wouldn't be surprised if he was hurting out there if not outright injured. He got up pretty slowly once late in the first half IIRC. Wouldn't even be shocked if he had a concussion, or close out there. Might be why he missed some blitz pickups that he usually gets...
