Adrian Peterson Reaches Agreement to Plea No Contest to Misdemeanor Assault

Gawd I hate our PC culture. Rappaport reporting that the Vikings sources wouldn't absolutely rule out his playing for them again... OMG!!! Peter King thinks Peterson will play for us next year. If he's going to play, what's wrong with him playing for the Vikes?

Eagles lose Nick Foles to a broken collarbone

LOL He did do that in preseason, too, though. I think the guy might be for real -- for what he is. He's at least better than our #6 pick overall.

    Crawford diagnosed with sprained MCL

I bet he misses this game and comes back just fine after the bye. Not a big loss for one game, especially with Melton getting better each week.

Archer & ESPN- Romo making trip to London

Dooms, I don't think the way Tony had it done was the same as others (you?) had it done in the past... That discectomy is done by scope now, I'm pretty sure. I don't think he had all the major tissue damage you're thinking of. And that former Chargers doc was adamant that this injury was...

Day after bad loss good news thread

I think it was some of both. At first I think he was just a super-cheap flyer (with CLE still paying most of his salary) on a guy they liked coming out, but Jerry said today that letting Orton go was more about Weeden's good play in practice than being mad at Orton. Now maybe Jerry was lying...

    Who you got? Week 9

We aren't smart enough to hedge. We're just ignorant cabalers. Maybe we need some Wagering 101 posts to bring us up to speed.

Day after bad loss good news thread

^^ Exactly. It's a long year and the injuries we've had lately aren't season ending. Even good teams have a lull at some point and it's better for ours to be now when there's still time to get on another roll. Most of all, I'm not that impressed with really any other team in the NFC. Still...

Day after bad loss good news thread

He definitely locked in on Dez, which Tony wouldn't do. But seeing the field is one of Tony's best attributes and I don't expect any backup to be nearly as good at it. And really, is it that stupid to focus on a guy who is supposed to be an elite-elite WR in this league? It is if he's...

Archer & ESPN- Romo making trip to London

You guys really think we'd lose to probably the second-worst team in football? I don't think so. I think we just played one of the better teams in the NFC as we were coming off a short week, plus Weeden was bad. But this is a 1-8 team. I say no way we lose even if Weeden has to play.

Does anyone know anything about Jax other than they suck? Only slight worry I'd have would be Bortles figuring it out because he is talented, but I don't think they even have any weapons to hurt us even if he did.

    NFL Week #9: TNF | Arizona Cardinals (6-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-2)

How about 2008 Brad Johnson who couldn't throw the ball 10 yards past the LOS? Anyway, I couldn't hear the sound very well yesterday. Was there much discussion as to why we didn't just kick the FG instead of going for that 4th down in the first place? I thought we should make it a 1-point...

Day after bad loss good news thread

Yesterday was a real injury, although I think he just got kicked and it's no big deal. But yeah, other than a little groin strain, I don't think he's really been hurt. Just didn't want to practice. Everyone knows he's a talent, but I think it was way too soon for Jerry to be talking contract...

Eagles lose Nick Foles to a broken collarbone

Yep. If you just stay in the game long enough, eventually things will break right for you. This is one of those years. I guess the Ginger gods thought nine wins to win this once proud division three years in a row wasn't enough.

    NFL Week #9: TNF | Arizona Cardinals (6-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-2)

I don't think QB sneak is in the Coryell playbook. Remember when Switzer had to install it himself when he got here? And yeah, read some tweets and apparently after the game, Dez was talking about his contract and the new agency getting his "branding" where he wanted it. Excellent.

    NFL Week #9: TNF | Arizona Cardinals (6-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-2)

I get that he made bad throws -- the decision to throw at Witten on that out with Honey Badger covering him was terrible. But why did the entire offense look so discombobulated? On so many of those routes the WRs and the QB weren't on the same page. Last week when he came in cold he basically...

    NFL Week #9: TNF | Arizona Cardinals (6-1) @ Dallas Cowboys (6-2)

All the focus will be on Weeden, but I'm also concerned about the rest of the team coming off a short week from a very physical game against the Skins. Like dbair said, no Leary either. This would've been a tough game even with Romo. Still not sure why Vegas had us favored even though we...
