    Breaking news- John Fox fired

That's what I was thinking, either he didn't like Manning basically running the entire offense or Elway got too pushy.

    Breaking news- John Fox fired

Was reading an article in the Denver paper that the Broncos brass were concerned that Fox didn't really want to be there late in the year, and that's one reason they both decided it was best to part ways. Weird. Wonder what was going on there.

    Breaking news- John Fox fired

Wonder if Manning, or even Manning's health, has anything to do with this. If Marinelli leaves, we should go after him as DC. I think he's a very good coach.

Thoughts, now that we've slept on it.

Yep, not trying to be a wet blanket or anything, but in the end a team with four All-Pros won one playoff game, a nailbiter over a sixth seed. It's better than the crap we have been doing, and it was fun when we got on a roll, but in the big picture this wasn't particularly special...

Thoughts, now that we've slept on it.

I don't know why anyone would think the 2007-2010 teams didn't care about losing other than it makes a better story for now.

Thoughts, now that we've slept on it.

Overall, we lost to a better team featuring the best QB in football at their place. We played respectably, we just didn't quite get it done. Biggest disappointment is that Rodgers clearly wasn't himself early in the game and we still lost. If he'd been 100%, I think he'd have eviscerated...

Gene Steratore's Official Statement on Dez's Catch/no catch

Yes. I'm so sick of seeing, in every game, WRs throwing up their hands after an incomplete pass and after a full one or two or even three count, seeing flags fly in. And that's a recent phenomenon. Flags used to come in right when the official saw it, not after a player begged for it. But...

    Our coaching sucks

Like Sheik said last night, both coordinators did great jobs this year. If they leave, it's snip, snip on Garrett's Weekend at Bernie's strings.

    Most disappointing loss, per Jerrah

Exactly right. Jerry hires and fires coordinators, reassigns coaches, decides playcallers, openly calls his coach a novice that he had to train... And gets rewarded for it. This just reassures him that he was right in doing those things, and so he's going to continue doing them. Bad news for...

Divisional Weekend: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

Still think Dunbar just isn't that good. Hard to say you misused an undrafted spare.

    Report: Marinelli to Tampa Bay

Callahan pretty much got the shaft last year. Not surprised he wants out of this circus where he can run his own show.

Divisional Weekend: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

He's a young 30, though. He's the rare athlete who actually deserves the incredibly overused term "beast". And he's coming off basically a year off, so I bet he's as healthy as he's been in a long time.

Divisional Weekend: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

Don't know if that was the reason, though I bet we do bring him in if they pass on Murray. But maybe they know other backs can at least come close to doing what he did. Justin Forsett averaged 5.4 YPC in Baltimore, and he's a career spare backup type. This scheme is pretty similar and the...

Divisional Weekend: Dallas Cowboys @ Green Bay Packers

Crazy, 436 carries for Murray this year. If we re-sign him, we better not be surprised when he breaks before midseason. Still wonder if we weren't using him up knowing we weren't bringing him back. I actually don't think he's that great a talent as a back, but I think we'd miss his leadership...

Gene Steratore's Official Statement on Dez's Catch/no catch

^^ Yep. Football used to be basically a controlled fight with a few rules to keep things from getting too far out of hand. Now it has so many rules, and so many nuances of those rules, it's almost impossible to know what is what. It seems like common sense has gone out the window.
