    Last QB to get to exlcusively call his own plays was Jim Kelly and his K-Gun offense. Before that, Sam Wyche let Boomer Esiason call his own plays. Coaches just don't trust QB's to call the plays, make the reads, and then execute all by themselves. Even Peyton Manning gets plays sent into him.

    Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron are usually the vocal, in your face guys (so was Ken Norton when he was at SC). Monte was always standing around, would mention something to a GA who would usually come back with a beverage. I saw Monte talk to a player maybe twice.
