Rival fans reacting to the Cowboys' signing La'el Collns.

That's a good question: How much better will the OL be with Collins? I didn't expect that Martin would make such a difference last year, but he did. A part of the OL's improvement must have been due to Fredrick (and Smith) becoming better with experience, but Martin played a big role too. SI...

    The Movie/TV Thread

Watching "Grace and Frankie" on Netflix. Really brutal. I'm old, but not Sun City old. Well, technically, I am eligible to buy in Sun City. But I'm not old enough to watch "Grace and Frankie." I think mid-60's is the youngest demographic for this show. It is good that there are shows...

Cowboys CB Orlando Scandrick skips first day of workout program

With his new contract, Scandrick isn't being paid as an elite corner. It seems like a reasonable deal for both the team and the player.

Cowboys bring in RBs for workout

George Allen said it, but it is true of the Cowboys: The future is now.

Cowboys bring in RBs for workout

Agreed. AD would be a great solution and worth a high price. I'd be in favor. If that trade doesn't happen (and it likely won't), there are other RBs out there. Trade for one of them. The Cowboys have some extra picks next year and could afford to part with someone like Leary.

Jerry loves our D-line... It's now a strength

Last year the Cowboys offense helped the Cowboys defense by putting up points and eating up the clock. If the offense is able to do this again, the Cowboys defense should look better this coming year.

    New Extra Point Rules

I'm not a fan of it either. Seems to me that the change adds even more error variance to the game ... That there is now a greater chance that outcomes will be influenced by something other than how good the teams actually are. Fluke special teams plays can be "exciting," but they are also...

    New Extra Point Rules

Kickers, coaches react to PAT rule change By Conor Orr Around The NFL Writer Published: May 20, 2015 at 08:29 a.m. Updated: May 20, 2015 at 09:47 a.m. Amid an offseason of sweeping change, the NFL has now added the extra point to its list of alterations. For the full rundown...

    New Extra Point Rules

Under the new rules, will it be possible to score 2 points from the 15 yard line? Sure, a coach would have to be crazy to go for 2 points from the 15 instead of the 2 yard line, but then it is possible that a given extra point kick defense would totally fall asleep on a possible fake. A more...

Rd 2 Pick 60: Cowboys select Nebraska DE Randy Gregory

Jerry is prematurely giddy, no doubt. In a brief interview recently (may still be up on dc.com), Garrett reiterated that the team is interested in judging the player based on the player's performance and not on how they were acquired or where they were drafted. Obviously, something that...

Rd 2 Pick 60: Cowboys select Nebraska DE Randy Gregory

I guess I'm ungrateful. I'm not a huge Demarcus Ware fan. I think Parcells was right - Ware would have been all-world if only he played with a mean streak. Ware was an outstanding individual player, but one never got the sense that he was much of a leader or helped his teammates raise their...

    DMN: Eberflus on Sean Lee

Lee and McClain - How many teams have ever had two such supremely talented and yet totally unreliable (in different ways) linebackers on their squad at the same time? No wonder the Cowboys have added so many new LBs to their roster this off-season.

RB: Master plan or blundering naïveté?

Back when the Cowboys cut Andre Gurode, I was absolutely convinced that the Cowboys would find a way to replace Gurode with a player of equal or better ability. Even though Jerry and the front office publicly said that they felt comfortable relying on Costa and other marginal-at-best OL, I...

Odds we win it all the next two years?

I agree about the QBs, but I also think that luck/officiating plays a bigger role than most of us would care to believe. Also, the Cowboys very nearly dropped a playoff game to Matthew Stafford last year. Anyway, I'd love to see the Cowboys and Romo win a Super Bowl. I really hope it happens.

Odds we win it all the next two years?

Goodness. Lots of optimism here. More than I would have expected. Whoever represents the AFC is likely to be playing well and tough to beat. I start with the assumption that if the Cowboys made the Super Bowl, they'd have a roughly a 50-50 chance of winning it. And getting to that game is...

Odds we win it all the next two years?

The chances the Cowboys win a Super Bowl in the next three years? I don't think it is anywhere close to 80% On the high end ... maybe 14%?

RB: Master plan or blundering naïveté?

Yeah, it'd be nice to know who might become available. Is there a list somewhere? Obviously, Dallas would be a highly desirable location for any FA RB. There isn't an RB out there who wouldn't want to run behind that line.

NFL Teams Paid To Thank Troops at Games

For me, this one goes both ways. Sort of cheesy for the NFL to accept pay for it. Sort of cheesy for the armed forces to enter into such an agreement.

For the correct RB, a first round pick is easily worth it.
