    Romo to the Jets?

First off, it would be like an $11 million cap hit if the Cowboys traded Romo, so a bunch of players would need to restructure since we currently have about $5 million. Second, the Jets have even less cap room than us, just over $1M and would need about $8M for Romo. So, imagining both teams...

    Quarter season 2017 mock

He will be, he's going top 3. Feel like he's a tweener. Seeing a lot of 3rd or 4th round grades on him.

    Quarter season 2017 mock

You are probably right, but this is why I use someone else's draft board and someone's power rankings. It's too subjective: "This guy won't go that early/late"... "we will picking way later than that." I'll change to the actual draft order as we get later in the season.

    Quarter season 2017 mock

For argument’s sake I will use nfl.com’s power rankings…. NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Denver Broncos claim No. 1 spot - NFL.com ..which would have us drafting 25th. I also use CBS Sports prospect rankings as a default draft board. Last, we do not have a 5th round pick but we do have an extra...

    Who you got? Week 5

I know which way I'm leaning but I want to homer out and pick Dallas. I need more time, I will post my pick before Sunday. Huge test for Dak. Marvin Lewis is a great defensive mind.

Jimmy on all things Cowboys via Cowherd

Most of you guys know that I basically worship the ground Jimmy walks on. I loved his approach to coaching, team building, handling star players, and most importantly telling Jerry to go f himself. After reading that, there are two things that stood out to me. One that made me feel better...

    Day After Thoughts- Week 4

Yeah, I'm continually amazed at how calm he is. I don't have the spare time but maybe this summer, I'm going to go back and re-watch some of his Mississippi State games. I can't be a wannabe scout and be this dead wrong on a guy. Love watching him play, excited about the future. Always thought...

ESPN: Dez Bryant has missed or been late 7-8 times this year

Accountability! Has there ever been a bigger fraud of a head coach? All that preaching of discipline, RKG, and accountability. I'm asking seriously. Has there been a bigger fraud.

    2016 CFB Chatter....

I got to go to a few of Washington's practices when they were in town for the Cactus Bowl. They had three NFL defensive prospects I wanted to see: Shaq Thompson, Hau'oli Kikaha, and Danny Shelton. Peterson is very intense. Two things that really impressed me in talking to him. He looks like...

    Dez's knee only sprained

Which is why I said yes and no. His aggressive (reckless? ) style literally makes him prone to injury. Thus, the yes. But we (the football society) have associated the term "injury prone" as someone who is soft or fragile. Dez is neither of those things. Thus, the no.

    Dez's knee only sprained

Coaching is a factor. Is he being coached up to run sharper routes or is the staff scared of him and is letting Dez be Dez? What about the route combinations? Are we running route combos that make sure Dez is getting the best opportunity to beat coverage? Are the coaches and QB seeing the...

    Dez's knee only sprained

    1. Injury prone - Yes and no. He runs violently which leads to the potential for injuries. He plays too aggressively. 2. No longer a top WR in the league - Disagree. 3. Allows himself to get taken out of games (having 2 catches for 12 yards in one game and 1 catch for 9 yards in another is...

Cowboys feel they have the depth to survive Bryant’s knee injury

He and Kiffin didn't get along all that well. Brice was a Carroll recruit and felt Kiffin played the guys he brought in.

Cowboys feel they have the depth to survive Bryant’s knee injury

I've always liked Brice but I'm cautious with my expectations of him. As fast and big as he is, there was always some reason he couldn't win a starting job at USC. I used to watch him at SC practices and think he was going to be a superstar, but then come game time, he was the 3rd or 4th WR.
