    Spread the ball around

I think the backs need to show more receptions... Right now you're showing between 30 and 45 receptions to the running backs. That's too low.

Fear of Asomugha landing in Philly could motivate Cowboys to pursue CB

Neither do I. But don't get me wrong, I'm concerned about the play of the entire Cowboy secondary. It's not all about the lack of pass rush either. The Cowboys were ranked right in the middle when it came to sacks, but were #28th vs the pass. The defenses ranking in sacks has been...

JJT: No reason DeMarco Murray shouldn't expect to be Cowboys' starting RB

I don't think Murray has FJ's "vision" and that's why Felix is better running the ball. Murray is probably already the better route runner. And maybe even the better blocker.

    2011 Leading Rusher

Felix. The low ypc average Murray carried the last couple of years bothers me.

SDogo: 99.99% certain no new HC and some other info

If someone stepped up with 100% proof that the stories were nonsense then I'm sure there would be repercussions. Maybe you can don your Sherlock Holmes hat and solve the mystery of the "Bull-shat story". But stop at Dunkin Donuts first and get a "Big-n-Toasty" to eat on the road.

SDogo: 99.99% certain no new HC and some other info

It's like this... If all their stories are bs or if all their stories are true or if some are bs and some are true... quite frankly it doesn't matter.

SBK, everyone's entitled to their opinion, if that's yours so be it. I can't nor would I vouch for all of Hos' stories. I'm always somewhat surprised how much interest there is in Hos on the other forums. Damn he must be the most interesting man in the world.

SDogo: 99.99% certain no new HC and some other info

I'm sure you've heard the line "A friend of a friend". I think that's where Hos' source comes from. The information isn't coming directly from the top of the "food chain." It's coming from underlings who are putting their own spin on it. I think sdogo does have connections to the scouting...

SDogo: 99.99% certain no new HC and some other info

This Hostile fixation is kinda amusing. The Nors situation at the Zone wasn't much different than the Nors situation at DCC. Essentially Nors simply drives folks insane with his posting style. Keep in mind I like Nors. When he's in control of his emotions he's a benefit to a board. But...

Brad Sham: It wouldn't shock me if one of the offensive guards is different

The offensive line was ranked 11th by the NFL. The offense was 7th in scoring. It was 11th in sacks given up. Great stats? No. But not woeful. Colombo was by far the worst offense lineman... all season long. Davis by most accounts played much better over the last half of the season...

So what do you think of Tom Ciskowski?

Ellis has "future problem" written all over him. No thanks.

So what do you think of Tom Ciskowski?

I don't think that's necessarily true... First off over the last few seasons the starting group of say 26 (which includes the 3rd corner and the 3rd wr) has been very stable, meaning there wasn't much call to put a reserve into the starting lineup or bring in a guy off the waiver wire...

So what do you think of Tom Ciskowski?

While I'm not big on the Murray pick, I can see the a potential need coming up with Barber's upcoming release and Choice turning into a knucklehead. If the Cowboys had Murray the highest rated guy left on the board and they took him, I have no qualms about that. As far as filling other holes...

Frank Coyle breaks down our draft class....

Who's the present back-up center? Yep, the depth is worse than what you originally thought.

So what do you think of Tom Ciskowski?

Keep in mind many in the 2nd and 3rd rounds are "what if" players. Hey, if these guys were problem free, then they would be 1st rounders. 2nd and 3rd rounders have blemishes... Be it they're coming off injury or they underperformed their last year in college or they're a wee-bit too small or a...

So what do you think of Tom Ciskowski?

2009 was bad because the first two picks were "pet cats" of Wade and Houck. The Cowboys didn't follow the draft board and were burned by it.

    Instantly evaluate this draft class....

    1) Tyron Smith: Starter on the right side of the offensive line from training camp on. Along with Doug Free, the offensive tackle position is solidified for the next 6 seasons. Smith himself plays in the NFL until his mid-30's garnering several visits to the Pro-Bowl. 2) Bruce Carter: Is...

Bad year, not bad defense is what Cowboys are stressing

No question the team paid the price for a country-club training camp. The defense was also hurt by unimaginative game planning. It didn't take teams long to figure out the Cowboys were going to play their corners in soft-man coverage and their blitz package consisted of blitzing one or both...

Bad year, not bad defense is what Cowboys are stressing

I think it was some bad coaching, bad players and a soft training camp. This defense gave up almost 200 points more in 2010 than it did in 2009 with just about the same personal. That in itself is a stunning number. The defense has to get more sacks/pressures out of its defensive ends and...
