agree, sounds like it was a hybrid situation where you could enter the hotel unscanned but had to go through metal detectors to enter the event, still looked too lax for the current state of the country

This is tough, because while people are probably advising him otherwise some of this is because he WANTS to be in front of people. He wants his messaging out there and he wants to deliver it. He also doesn't mind to get in front of people on the other side.

If he sits everything out and they silence him, THEY win. THEY don't want anyone hearing his messages or how things they need to be bad, are actually doing well. They don't want him talking about a bright future.

Several of the guest analysts/commentators I saw over the weekend all said this is a bit of a conundrum, because he doesn't want domestic terrorists dictating his schedule and agenda.
