Cole Beasley isnt exactly the sharpest tool in the shed
ok but how sharp do you think DAL's front office is?

beasley is pointing out one part of how DAL front office operates and why would he lie? lets put aside the fact that he is saying DAL's front office wants to effect the game on the field for a chance to keep the financials in better order. lets just stick with the basic action of what beasley is talking about dealing w/ re-signing players ...something jerry & co. are terrible at...

caving and re-signing zeke way too early, dak, terrence steele, romo re-structures, tyrone crawford, JAYLON SMITH

they routinely get bent over, and w/ top-of-the-market players, jerry doesnt mind sabotaging any leverage in contract talks as he so often does, both openly and publicly, because of course he loves hearing the sound of his voice and thinks he knows ball. i mean after so many years in one industry, you'd think that he might've learned a thing or two, but when it comes to jerry jones, i doubt it.

Yeah but for first time he agrees with you.

I particularly like this part and I promise you I never spoke to Sturm beofre.....

"But, again, this is why a franchise QB and a veteran coach are so vital. Because you will hit a crisis – and down 20-0 at home in the 2nd Quarter is exactly that – and still remain composed, calm, and understanding that with 33 minutes of football to play.

All you need is a halftime double-up and this thing is 20-14 in the third quarter — it should not be time to panic."

David Moore is reporting McCarthy will not be fired. His source is probably Spawn so it's almost 100% a sure thing.

Also says Prescott long term deal is going to happen. Lastly for the final gut punch, says if for some reason Quinn doesn't get a HC gig they will likely keep him too.

So basically, zero accountability for the three people most responsible for three consecutive years of postseason failure, and the last one being the most embarrassing postseason loss in franchise history.
What you mean? Jerry is really floored and angry. Somebodies head has to roll. I am sure some assistant equipment manager or towel boy is in deep trouble.

I was always told when a team quits on a coach, said coach needs to be replaced. Apparently ole Jerry missed the part where the team laid down like dogs on Sunday. Ground hogs day #29 currently in progress.

Stupid fucking decision by Drunken GM and Spawn.

Almost a lock solid guarantee we have a losing record next year. Which will continue the tradition of epic failure by the single worst "general manager" in the history of the league. Any other organization would have fired their GM's 10 times over (or more) for this complete display of futility.

Mind numbingly ignorant decision and he clearly doesn't mean what he says when he claimed postseason success is the priority. A week before this game he strongly intimated McCarthy's future was tied to having a real run this yr in the playoffs and instead, they had the most laughably inept performance in team postseason history. So what does he do? He rewards him by keeping him here.

I've loved this team since 1975, but am just done with this shit. These people and this team are a waste of our fucking time.

My Pride in the Dallas Cowboys in the 70's and 90's was because of Conference Championships, and, Super Bowl victories and appearances.

There is Nothing for me to take pride in, in simply winning Regular Seasons.

Just thinking outside the box and thinking of a longshot. What about Jason Witten. Hey, he won the high school championship $-)
Great thinking, being it's already been discussed. I was also thinking the same after hearing about Witty's HS championship.

Werder's take: “The Jerry Jones quote at the end of this piece suggests to me that he has Jason Witten on his mind as a eventual Cowboys head coach."

This is what we gave up a 4th round pick for. Consider we got, what, a 6th for Amari after giving up a 1.

Niners traded way too much to move up and get him, then made that decision worse by rushing a guy who clearly wasnt ready to play into the starting role. They should have let him sit and learn for 1-2 seasons.

Us trading a 4th for him was not a bad move at all.

There's plenty of candidates for "worst trade ever". This might be a candidate but I doubt it's the worst. Browns trade and subsequent contract for Deshaun Watson was horrible. Carolina's deal for the midget QB with no size or arm talent was horrible. What the Bears did to move up one spot for a bum like Mitch Trubisky was horrible. The Herschel Walker trade by the Vikes was horrible. That's just off the top of my head.

Every Cowboy fan should be royally pissed with the Jones' now.

She seems to have very good info that says Belichick, Vrabel and Harbaugh all had a high interest in coaching here, and Jones didnt even consider it.

He stuck with the guy who's fun to drink with and lets him play GM all day every day. The same owner/GM that said postseason success was the key to McCarthy sticking around and a little over a week later, totally reneged on that after his team got fucking trashed at home in embarrassing fashion by a 9-8 team.

Honestly I enjoyed watching Jimmy's Cowboys in 89 (1-15) and 90 (7-9) more than anything we've seen in years from this fucktard team.

They had almost no talent in 1989 and very limited talent across the roster in 1990, but they played their asses off. That 4 game win streak in 1990 was just super fun to watch after Landry's last several years.

This team doesnt have half the heart or competitive nature that those Jimmy teams did.

"well i'm paying him for another year anyway, so i might as well put him to work" says the shitfaced GM who isn't worried about losing his job

And?

The number you left off there was "0"

Number of years with Dallas with more than 1 postseason win= ZERO

Number of NFC Championship game appearances with Dallas= ZERO

Number of Super Bowl appearances with Dallas= ZERO
I was merely illustrating what Jerral looks at.
