Democrats think their supporters are dumb, and I guess there is a lot of evidence to suggest they are dumb. But Allegations of sexual abuse are not new to Platner so why are Democrats turning on Platner nownow? My guess is internal polls are showing he is not going to win the election because all the other accusations Democrats ignored about Platner have taken a toll on his campaign. This latest allegation is no worse than the ones before. It's just that now he can't win so they will not defend or excuse his behavior anymore. They have 2 weeks to get him to drop out. I can imagine the threats he is getting from Democrats right now. Probably not just against him but also any family has has. This is how Democrats operate.
and, btw, if you think that deadline for him to drop out and Democrats to replace him means anything. Look up the case of Robert Torricelli in NJ. He dropped out after NJ's deadline to replace him and Democrats sued to get Frank Lautenberg on the ballot. NJ's liberal courts ruled in favor over Democrats claiming the people deserved a choice in November. The courts basically ignored the deadline, liberal courts that is.
